We're back, 2 posts in 1 week? Yeah! It's a long weekend in Argentina, so I didn't have to work, so I'm editing videos that I filmed weeks ago and didn't have time to produce beforehand. I hope you like it and it helps you learn more about Pilates! 🙂
We are going to perform LUNGE, a well-known exercise in the world of fitness, one of the most complex in terms of intensity and recruitment of muscle fibers. As always in Pilates we are going to work on our muscles but even more important is CONCENTRATION and BREATHING to have a COMPREHENSIVE work. On the other hand, BALANCE since we work on an unstable surface that moves at the same time as we move. That is why it is important to focus on our exercise series.🙌
We are going to do 3 Variations of LUNGEES, always keeping the movement of our knees and hips the same, but alternating the movement of our arms, through which we are working on our BALANCE. Inhaling when we go down, and exhaling when we go up. Taking air in through the nose and releasing through the mouth. Concentrating the effort on our QUADRICEPS AND GLUTEUS.
As I always say, it is important to stretch our muscles to relax them and return them to their resting state. The muscles that worked the most were our GLUTEUS and QUADRICEPS, so below I leave you their respective stretches. Look for a progressive elongation going from less to more, and do it for 20-30". It can be repeated for greater flexibility work.
