- The Apure river Venezuela surrounds all of San Fernando and most of Apure, spend an afternoon under the Maria Nieves bridge where there are beaches during the summer season, in winter the river is full of water and there is no beach but you can go fishing and you can observe the fresh water dolphins better known as toninas in Venezuela, and in summer the river goes down and there are beaches and you can go swimming and share with friends and family and also perform activities such as boat races and horse boarding, it is customary to perform horse boarding every year which is a horse race across the river whoever gets there first wins. Something of much entertainment and Creole in the region and thus perform many activities in the rivers and beaches of the Apure River.
