Me ví tentado a hacer este tercer cover ya que no podía dejar por fuera este tema que pegó tanto como "Basket Case", cover que publiqué hace solo un dia. Se trata de "When I Come Around" décimo tema del álbum Dookie.

Yo solía escuchar mucho este tema de niño en la radio en la isla de margarita cuando vivía con mi tía. Recién comenzaba a escuchar rock y fué cuando conocí a bandas como Nirvana y Metallica.

Hello dear Hivers, how are you? I'm fine. We continue in the same line, with the third installment of Green Day covers !

I was tempted to do this third cover because I couldn't leave out this song that hit as much as "Basket Case", the cover I posted just a day ago. It's "When I Come Around" tenth track from the album Dookie.

I used to listen to this song a lot as a kid on the radio on the island of margarita when I lived with my aunt. I was just starting to listen to rock and that's when I met bands like Nirvana and Metallica.

Este tema si recuerdo haberlo tocado con mis amigos en la calle con frecuencia, eso sí, con una guitarra acústica; no recuerdo haberla tocado en algún evento con guitarra electrica y es curioso, puesto que versionamos muchísimos temas bastante conocidos en su momento.

Una de las cosas que más me gusta de este tema es que se sale un poco de la línea del resto del álbum. Es un tema lento, con un ritmo bastante pegajoso. Fué compuesto en Sol mayor e incluye un solo corto al final del tema muy melódico

El tema fue grabado con la guitarra afinada medio tono más abajo tal cual es el tema original. En principio pensé grabarlo en la afinación estándar pero luego de ensayarlo un rato desistí de la idea porque no terminaba de acostumbrarme al tono.

I do remember playing this song with my friends in the street frequently, with an acoustic guitar; I don't remember playing it in any event with an electric guitar and it's curious, since we covered a lot of well-known songs at the time.

One of the things I like the most about this song is that it is a little bit out of the line of the rest of the album. It is a slow song, with a quite catchy rhythm. It was composed in G major and includes a short solo at the end of the song very melodic.

The song was recorded with the guitar tuned half a tone lower, just like the original song. At first I thought of recording it in standard tuning but after rehearsing it for a while I gave up the idea because I couldn't get used to the pitch.
