Dancing With my Grandmother

My family is characterized by having a very happy spirit, where dancing, fun and Christmas are the perfect components to celebrate and share, as I have already told you on previous occasions, my grandmother with her more than eighty years is the member oldest of the group, on her shoulders weighs the difficulties not only of age but of a disease such as Parkinson's, which has considerably decreased her motor skills, but thanks to effective treatment and her fighting spirit she remains strong as a oak and with a will that propels her forward.

Bailando con mi Abuela

Mi familia se caracteriza por contar con un espíritu muy alegre, en donde el baile, la diversión y la navidad son los componentes perfectos para celebrar y compartir, como ya les he comentado en ocasiones anteriores mi abuela con sus mas de ochenta años es el miembro mas longevo del grupo, sobre sus hombros pesa las dificultades no solo de la edad sino de una enfermedad como el Parkinson, la cual ha disminuido considerablemente sus capacidades motoras, pero que gracias a un efectivo tratamiento y a su espíritu luchador ella sigue siendo fuerte como un roble y con una voluntad que la impulsa hacia delante.

Personally, I don't know how to dance, this is an art that unfortunately I haven't learned to master, but given the same step, with different speeds and with a face of having a good time, I try to go out on the dance floor and that way I don't just learn a little more but I also contribute to having a pleasant time with everyone, which is why this time I take my grandmother out for a walk, just with my favorite merengue (A Photograph of Bonny Cepeda) we begin to dance around the living room of her home and between laughter, joy and deep happiness we managed to share a truly incredible moment.

En lo personal yo no se bailar, este es un arte que desafortunadamente no he aprendido a dominar, pero igual dado el mismo paso, con diferente velocidad y con cara de pasarla bien hago el intento de salir a la pista y así no sol aprendo un poquito más sino que también contribuyo en pasar un rato agradable con todos, es por ello que en esta ocasión saque a mi abuela a dar un paso, justo con mi merengue favorito (Una Fotografía de Bonny Cepeda) comenzamos a danzar por la sala de su casa y entre risas, alegrías y profunda felicidad logramos compartir un momento verdaderamente increíble.

This action served as an incentive for my father and aunt to also get up to dance, giving a class of steps, movements and flavor, they managed to light up the party and thus almost three hours passed where between dances, stories and jokes we spent a different night, We welcomed the most beautiful season of the year and enjoyed together as a united and happy family. I hope that many other moments like this are repeated and that my grandmother continues to have much more strength and courage to continue being the fundamental pillar of our family.

Esta acción sirvió como incentivo para que mi papa y mi tía también se levantaran a bailar, dando una clase de pasos, movimientos y sabor lograron encender la fiesta y así transcurrieron casi tres horas en donde entre bailes, cuentos y chistes pasamos una noche diferente, le dimos la bienvenida a la temporada mas bella del año y disfrutamos juntos como una familia unida y alegre. Espero que muchos otros momentos como este se repitan y que mi abuela siga contando con mucha más fuerza y ánimo para seguir siendo el pilar fundamental de nuestra familia.
