    > How do you stick on the pole?

    I get this questions so frequently from my friends who are not in to pole dancing. There are many factors that help us "stick" to the pole:

    ** Upper body Strength**

    A strong back and arms can help relying too much on your grip to keep your self from falling off the pole.

    Core Engagement

    Yep. You might not expect this has something to do with keeping yourself on the pole but it does. Consciously. Our core coneects our upper body and lower body and transfers forces from one to another. Engaging the core improves balance and stability. It's hard to stay up on the pole when you're all unstable and wobbly. The core calso gives you power to push through climbs and drive power from your legs and hips to your arms.

    Spinning Momentum

    Using the spin to your advantage can make it easier to stay up the pole. For example, positioning your body to decrease moment of inertia- which also increase rotation speed and pulls your body inwards the axis of rotation which is the pole.

    warm up the pole..and your body

    You will find that you stick better on pole with warm body (but not sweaty)

    Keep your skin moisturized but not oily

    The more hydrated you are, the more grippy the skin is. Apply lotion on your body on days YOU ARE NOT ON THE POLE. This is very important. Oil in lotions can make the pole very slippery

    Clean pole

    Dusty and greasy pole is impossible to stick to

    Use Gripping aids

    This is the last resort. There are many gripping aids available made specially for pole. The keeps the hand dry and some have added sticking properties that are usually based on beeswax.

    Strengthen your grip

    There is no better way to have stronger grip on the pole than to actually practice on the pole
