Good morning to all the beautiful people of this community. Today I want to share with you a job I did on reusing objects in a discarded condition. It is a decorative pot to place inside the home with an artificial plant inside or it can also be a real plant that is planted in a smaller container.

Buenos días a toda la gente linda de esta comunidad. Hoy quiero compartirles un trabajo que hice de reutilización de objetos en condición de desecho. Se trata de una maceta decorativa para colocar en el interior del hogar con alguna planta artificial adentro o también puede ser una planta de verdad que esté sembrada en un envase más pequeño.

One of the activities that I like to promote and practice is the recycling and reuse of old objects that can be given a new use if we manage to restore them in some way. I took up this initiative because I am reorganizing my home and in the midst of all the mess I had, I have seen the need to discard many things that I did not find what to reuse, nor recycle them; but to those who do, little by little I will show them how they are doing.

Una de las actividades que me gusta fomentar y practicar es el reciclaje y la reutilización de objetos viejos que se les pueden dar un nuevo uso si logramos restaurarlos de alguna manera. Retomé esta iniciativa porque estoy reorganizando mi hogar y en medio de todo el desorden que tenía armado me he visto en la necesidad de desechar muchas cosas a las cuales no encontré qué reutilización darle, ni tampoco reciclarlas; pero a las que sí, poco a poco les iré mostrando cómo van quedando.

Today I started with a clay pot that was already very damaged, so I'm going to restore it but not to plant anything in it but as an ornament for the room with some plant planted in another container.

Hoy comencé con una maceta de barro que ya estaba muy dañada, así que la voy a restaurar pero no para sembrar nada en ella sino como adorno de la sala con alguna planta sembrada en otro recipiente.

Next I am going to name the materials I used and the steps for its restoration and reuse.

A continuación les voy a nombrar los materiales que usé y los pasos para su restauración y reutilización.

An old clay pot
Cold color paints: White, yellow, red and green.
White Paste
Silicone gun
Silicon bar
Pink gift ribbon
Two brushes (one thick and one fine)
Marker of any light color
Black marker
Scotch tape
A plant in a container

Pinturas al frío color: Blanco, amarillo, rojo y verde.
Pega Blanca
Pistola de silicón

Cinta de regalo color rosado
Dos pinceles (Uno grueso y uno fino)
Marcador de cualquier color claro

PROCESS

1)The first step is to paint the old pot white. Give it a first coat of paint, let it dry and then give it a second coat. If it is necessary to put a little more, they can do it so that the surface is even.

PROCEDIMIENTO

1)El primer paso es pintar de color blanco la maceta vieja. Darle una primera mano de pintura, dejar secar y luego darle una segunda mano. Si es necesario colocarle un poco más, pueden hacerlo para que la superficie quede uniforme.

2) The second step is to draw on the edge of the pot any design of your choice. They can be flowers with twigs and leaves, or just flowers. In this case I drew some flowers with twigs and leaves on the sides. They are drawn with a low color marker so that the cold paint can cover it up.

2) El segundo paso es dibujar en la orilla de la maceta cualquier diseño de su gusto. Pueden ser flores con ramitas y hojas, o sólo flores. En este caso yo dibujé unas flores con ramitas y hojas a los lados. Se dibujan con un marcador de color bajo para que la pintura al frío pueda taparlo.

3) The third step is to start painting the flowers red, and the twigs and leaves green. The center of the flower with yellow color. After they dry, they are highlighted with a black marker, and more layers of paint are added to make the colors stronger.

3) El tercer paso es comenzar a pintar las flores de color rojo, y las ramitas y hojas con color verde. El centro de la flor con color amarillo. Después que sequen, se resaltan con marcador negro, y se les sigue colocando más capas de pintura para que queden más fuertes los colores.

4) The fourth step is to apply white glue to the designs when they are dry, so that when they dry, they shine with the glue.

4) El cuarto paso es colocarle pega blanca a los diseños cuando ya estén secos, para que al secar, brillen con la pega.

5) The fifth step is to cut the gift ribbon and stick it with a piece of adhesive tape on the edge, and little by little fix it with hot silicone.

5) El quinto paso es recortar la cinta de regalo y pegarla con un pedacito de cinta adhesiva en el borde, y poco a poco ir fijándola con silicón caliente.

6) Finally, a plant that is already planted in another container is placed inside the decorated pot, and that fits well in it. They can place it on any table inside the home.

6) Por último, se coloca dentro de la maceta decorada una planta que ya esté sembrada en otro envase, y que ajuste bien en ella. La pueden colocar en cualquier mesita en el interior del hogar.

I hope that this simple craft has been to everyone's liking. It is important to continue implementing art through recycling and reuse of waste, since we help immensely to preserve the environment, and at the same time, we encourage creativity and manual arts through this type of initiative.

Espero que esta manualidad tan sencilla haya sido del agrado de todos. Es importante seguir implementando el arte a través del reciclaje y la reutilización de desecho, ya que ayudamos inmensamente a preservar el ambiente, y a la vez, fomentamos la creatividad y las artes manuales a través de este tipo de iniciativas.
