Hive Music Festival - Week 36 - Round 3 ||• Bach- Sonata n° 1 in Gm || @rodolfomandolina

Ya estamos en la semana número tres, que rápido, de verdad que últimamente el tiempo pasa volando, pero que bueno que tengamos la oportunidad de mostrar nuestro talento a través de esta comunidad y de Hive. Me quedó sorprendido con la gran calidad de artistas que le dan vida al Hive Music Festival, quiero felicitarlos públicamente.

Quiero contarles que desde hace un tiempo ya sabía que tema o pieza quería traerles para la ronda número 3 en este festival, decidí ponerme un reto personal, el reto consistía en que ya que nunca habia tocado una pieza de la música clásica en mandolina completa, ¿por que no hacerlo ahora?, hace años me había aprendido un poquito de una pieza clásica, aunque nunca termine de aprendermela, tenía una conexión bien especial con su melodía y quería que ese fuera mi selección.

Pero por más que trataba de recordar su nombre, no se venía a mi mente. Después de una excesiva búsqueda en Youtube di con el paradero de su nombre y también de la partitura que necesitaba. El tema se llama Sonata Número Uno en G menor de la música Clásica.

Practicamente he pasado 2 semanas tratando de que me salga bien esta pieza, y no puedo creer lo complicado que ha sido, un intento tras otro, equivocarse, volver a repetir 1000 veces más, la mano se me cansaba, en fin, practicar, practicar y practicar hasta que saliera mejor.

Este video ha sido mi mejor intento, sin duda alguna no es la velocidad original del tema ya que es aún más rápido, pero de cierta manera me siento satisfecho de cumplir este reto por mí, y para seguir creciendo como músico. Soy creyente de que la música clásica es realmente complicada, no sólo por sus melodías que en algunas ocasiones son tan cambiantes, si no por la dificultad en sus ejecución e interpretación, mi cerebro tardaba en procesar algunas escalas ya que tenían cambios que no me esperaba, además la digitación de los dedos, ameritaba usar toda la mano en la presion de las cuerdas.

Yo solo espero, que mi participación sea de su agrado, el vídeo fue hecho con mucho esfuerzo y cariño, aunque no soy el mejor editor, estoy tratando de mejorar para darle un espectáculo visual y musical, ya que el compromiso es grande en especial al estar rodeados de tantos talentos.

We are already in week number three, how fast, time really flies by lately, but it's great that we have the opportunity to show our talent through this community and Hive. I was amazed with the great quality of artists that give life to the Hive Music Festival, I want to congratulate them publicly.

I want to tell you that for some time I already knew what theme or piece I wanted to bring you for round number 3 in this festival, I decided to set myself a personal challenge, the challenge was that since I had never played a piece of classical music in complete mandolin, why not do it now, years ago I had learned a little bit of a classical piece, although I never finished learning it, I had a very special connection with its melody and I wanted that to be my selection.

But no matter how hard I tried to remember its name, it didn't come to my mind. After an excessive search on Youtube I found the whereabouts of its name and also the score I needed. The piece is called Sonata Number One in G minor from Classical music.

I have practically spent 2 weeks trying to get this piece right, and I can't believe how complicated it has been, one attempt after another, making mistakes, repeating 1000 times more, my hand getting tired, in short, practicing, practicing and practicing until it came out better.

This video has been my best attempt, undoubtedly it is not the original speed of the song as it is even faster, but in a way I feel satisfied to meet this challenge for me, and to continue growing as a musician. I am a believer that classical music is really complicated, not only for its melodies that sometimes are so changeable, but also for the difficulty in its execution and interpretation, my brain was slow to process some scales because they had changes that I did not expect, also the fingering of the fingers, deserved to use the whole hand in the pressure of the strings.

I only hope that my participation is to your liking, the video was made with much effort and affection, although I am not the best editor, I am trying to improve to give you a visual and musical spectacle, since the commitment is great especially being surrounded by so many talents.
