Muy buenas noches querida comunidad de @musiczone espero que estén muy bien y les deseo lo mejor en sus presentaciones.Apenas hoy tuve la oportunidad de grabar algo en la noche y me dispongo a redactar la publicación en estos momentos. Estoy bastante emocionado ya que el día de hoy les voy a compartir un COVER de otra influencia musical muy importante en mi vida, definió mucho del estilo que tengo al componer canciones e incluso mi manera de tocar la guitarra al componer canciones. Hablo nada mas y nada menos que del gran trovador cubano Silvio Rodriguez, se puede decir lo que sea sobre sus posturas políticas pero este señor es un maestro musical de otro nivel, es un poeta como pocos, no hay manera de que hable objetivamente sobre el ya que mi admiración es inimaginable.

I am very excited because today I am going to share with you a COVER of another very important musical influence in my life, he defined a lot of the style I have when composing songs and even my way of playing the guitar when composing songs. I am talking about nothing more and nothing less than the great Cuban troubadour Silvio Rodriguez, you can say anything about his political stances but this gentleman is a musical master of another level, he is a poet like few others, there is no way I can speak objectively about him because my admiration is unimaginable.

Hablar sobre las canciones de Silvio es limitarlas, son una experiencia, te tocan, te conmueven, te traspasan inevitablemente. Pero si pudiera decir algo acerca de la canción que hoy les voy a interpretar, podría decir que es una oda a la simpleza y a la melancolía. La letra en si misma es un poema. Leí en algún momento que el poeta Mario Bennedetti decía que, las canciones de Silvio podían leerse como poemas y como poemas podían ser canciones también, una declaración particular de este gran poeta. Silvo es admirado, es odiado también, pero nadie puede decir que su música es de un nivel inigualable.

To talk about Silvio's songs is to limit them, they are an experience, they touch you, they move you, they inevitably pierce you. But if I could say something about the song I am going to interpret today, I could say that it is an ode to simplicity and melancholy. The lyrics themselves are a poem. I read at some point that the poet Mario Bennedetti said that Silvio's songs could be read as poems and as poems they could also be songs, a particular statement of this great poet. Silvo is admired, he is also hated, but no one can say that his music is of an unequalled level.

Por otro lado es siempre un poco nostalgico cuando una canción te hace sentir tan identificado, en este caso siento esta canción como si la estuviera padeciendo, como si toda esa melancolía me perteneciera muy a pesar de no querer sentirme ensimismado. Pero bueno, ya ese soy yo nuevamente divagando. Espero puedan disfrutar de esta interpretación hecha con entrega para quien quiera escuchar.

On the other hand it is always a little nostalgic when a song makes you feel so identified, in this case I feel this song as if I was suffering it, as if all that melancholy belonged to me, in spite of not wanting to feel self-absorbed. But well, that's just me rambling again. I hope you can enjoy this interpretation made with dedication for whoever wants to listen.
