Hive Open Mic 170 - "Connected By Katharine McPhee" Cover

Hello Hive Open Mic community!
It's another week although my entry took until weekend to be ready but as always, I am excited about this entry too.

The theme of the week - Cacao was chosen by our spotlight artist @cabelindsay and I like that I got to see a post entry from him as I was almost discouraged that I wouldn't have a song for the theme.

I decided to do the song "Connected" by Katharine McPhee and the reason is in our spotlight artist post. He shared a lot about his love for cocoa drinks and what I could only think of when I was reading his post is the world... Connection

He also shared that the theme is related to love as he loves his cocoa drinks and I'll say love is bound by connection of the hearts or feelings. Aside his love for cocoa drinks, I am also reminded of this song from a barbie collection titled "Barbie and the diamond castle".

In the scene where this song was sang in, it shows two friends dancing in their garden where they planted a lot of fruits and foods, I'm taking it that there's cocoa tree too since they are grow in fields and farms. I'm not a regular with cocoa drinks but I've heard enough to understand a bit why our spotlight artist enjoy these kind of drinks.

I hope you enjoy my cover of the song, I tried to sing it well enough with the backups but it got a little difficult at some point so I did only a few, you'll understand if you listen to the original. It may not be as good as the original but I'm glad to share the one I could do.
