📹 [ESP] | [ENG] — Un Café con Mary, Ep. 6: ¡Celebré el Día Mundial de la Cheesecake en Canel!

¿Sabías que el 30 de Julio de cada año se celebra el Día del Cheesecake? Pues sí, aunque no lo creas, esta torta de textura cremosa tiene una fecha especial en el calendario y es por esta razón que este nuevo Episodio de Un Café con Mary va dedicado a celebrar este postre como debe de ser. En esta oportunidad visité una cafetería-restaurant cuya especialidad en postres es...¡adivinen! pues obviamente ¡las Cheesecake! Este lugar se llama Canel y, de hecho, en una publicación que realicé hace algún tiempo les hablé sobre él. Cómo les comentaba, en Canel el único postre que ofrecen son las Cheesecake y, de hecho, poseen un menú aparte en dónde especifican los diferentes sabores que hay para escoger.

¿Qué sabor escogí en esta oportunidad? Bueno, eso se los cuento en el vídeo, pero lo que sí les adelanto es que esta ha sido la mejor cheesecake que he probado, literalmente fue como probar un pedacito de cielo. En una anterior oportunidad había probado: la Cheesecake de Marquesa de Nutella que, sí, me gustó pero me pareció demasiado dulce como para poder poder comer la porción completa, la Cheesecake Chocolate Chips Cookie Dough que realmente me pareció intermedia, no me pareció la gran cosa pero tampoco me decepcionó, incluso la volvería a pedir y la Cheesecake de Crumble de Manzana que, para mi gusto particular, no fue la mejor opción de todas. Así que para el momento, el sabor ganador para mí ha sido el que probé en este vídeo.

Canel es de ese tipo de lugares que no defraudan, quizás es un poco más costoso que otros locales, pero vale la pena visitarlo una vez cada cierto tiempo. Eso sí, el ambiente suele ser un tanto ruidoso en algunas sedes y el estacionamiento no es tan amplio como a algunos clientes les gustaría que fuese. Pese a esto, la experiencia no deja de ser buena y la atención al cliente es excelente.

Did you know that July 30th of every year is celebrated as Cheesecake Day? Well yes, believe it or not, this creamy textured cake has a special date on the calendar and that is why this new Episode of Un Café con Mary is dedicated to celebrate this dessert as it should be. This time I visited a coffee shop-restaurant whose specialty dessert is...guess what? well, obviously Cheesecake! This place is called Canel and, in fact, in a publication that I made some time ago I told you about it. As I mentioned, the only dessert they offer at Canel is the Cheesecake and, in fact, they have a separate menu where they specify the different flavors to choose from.

Which flavor did I choose this time? Well, I will tell you in the video, but what I will tell you is that this was the best cheesecake I have ever tasted, it was literally like tasting a little piece of heaven. In a previous opportunity I had tried: the Nutella Marquise Cheesecake which, yes, I liked but I found it too sweet to be able to eat the whole portion, the Chocolate Chips Cookie Dough Cheesecake which really seemed intermediate, I did not think it was great but I was not disappointed, I would even order it again and the Apple Crumble Cheesecake which, for my particular taste, was not the best option of all. So for the moment, the winning flavor for me was the one I tasted in this video.

Canel is the kind of place that does not disappoint, maybe it is a little more expensive than other places, but it is worth visiting once in a while. Of course, the atmosphere tends to be a bit noisy in some places and the parking lot is not as large as some customers would like it to be. Despite this, the experience is still good and the customer service is excellent.
