Comienza a rellenar.

Who hasn't liked COCO, the animated movie produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Its beautiful plot has stolen many hearts because it talks about family togetherness above all things. The feature film highlights and shows in a wonderful style the Mexican tradition of the Day of the Dead, a celebration that takes place on November 1st and 2nd every year. Mexicans usually paint their faces as skulls and set up altars with food and photos to honor and remember their ancestors. According to their beliefs, on those two days their relatives visit them from beyond the grave.
The film grabs you from the very first moment. It fascinates me and my family. Every time we watch it, it makes us laugh and cry at the same time 🤣. Since we saw it for the first time, we have thought that my eldest son has a certain resemblance to Miguel, the main character of the movie. So on the occasion of Halloween, my son, who is a fan of this cute story, wanted me to make him up to personify this cute character. My other son opted for a spiderman zombie makeup. That day, after doing their makeup we went out for pizza, soda and some snacks. Upon returning home, guess what we watched for the umpteenth time? 🤣 If you are one of the few who haven't seen it yet, I recommend you look it up and watch it with your family.
So I want to share with you the step by step Coco's World of the Dead style skull makeup I did for my oldest son.
💙 Moisturizing skin cream.
💙 Beige and white liquid foundation.
💙 Black eyeliner
💙 Black eyeliner pencil
💙 Powder brush
💙 White shadow
💙 White translucent powder
💙 Red lipstick
What predominates in this makeup is that the base should be very white. It should express a cadaverous look.
The skin should be prepared with moisturizer before applying makeup. This is done so that the white foundation is better absorbed into the face and does not dry quickly. Moisturized skin makes the foundation spread more easily and look as even as possible.
The foundation is the most complex thing to apply because the skin needs to be completely white so we must use a special foundation.
The one I bought is water-based. When I applied it with the brush it was terrible because it didn't run, it stayed on and the skin looked cracked.
Then it occurred to me to combine the beige foundation, which I normally use, with the white foundation. In the end I didn't use the brush but my hands because you have to apply it very quickly before it dries.
Once applied you must let it dry to continue.
Then, seal with loose white powder by dabbing onto the face.
Outline the black area around the eye. From the brow bone to the dark circles. Gradually fill in with the black eyeliner.
Then, make up the other eye.
When you're done with the makeup, let it dry.
Draw the shape of the skull nose hole with the black eyeliner. This one looks like an arrow pointing up, but with rounded edges.
Start filling in. Leave the tip of the nose white.
Line and paint the lips with black eyeliner.
Then, make a black line extending the corner of the mouth as seen in the picture.
Now, draw 5 lines on the lips. Use black pencil liner to make the lines straight.
When finished, let dry.
Now, with a red pencil, make 5 circles between the area of the dark circles and the cheekbones.
That's it, final result. Enjoy your make-up
At the end, I dressed my son in a red hooded sweater and we did a photo shoot to remember and share with you.
My youngest son dressed up as spiderman zombie and my oldest son as Miguel in COCO.
If you made it this far, thank you so much for reading me.
