The Fulía Central, is one of the most moving genres of my country with the presence of agro-Venezuelan instruments such as the cumaco or the tamboritas de fulías, depending on the region. According to Francisco Salazar (researcher), he says the following "The fulía has a polyrhythm, many simultaneous rhythms, where you have three drums or tamboritas. One is the pujao, the bass drum; another is the prima, the high-pitched drum; and the other is the cruzado, which crosses the rhythms. In the towns the fulía is sung all year round, although very especially in the month of May, since, it is performed devotionally in honor of the Cruz de Mayo and dancing is forbidden. Generally, it is accompanied by clapping, the Venezuelan cuatro, charrasca, maracas, a pewter plate that is struck to the rhythm of the song and the soloist voice improvises stanzas in the form of redondillas or octosyllabic coplas (consisting of eight syllables) with a responsorial chorus.
