LAYNE STALEY DRAWING PORTRAIT TIMELAPSE [ENG-ESP]

Hello friends, I hope you are well, this time I share a short video to remember the death of one of the best rock singers I have ever heard in my life, Layne Stayle, vocalist of the grunge band Alice In Chains. Layne was one of the vocalists who most influenced my life with his way of singing and unique style, it was a real shame how his life ended, someone with great talent like the one he possessed, I always think he would have come up with his art. He died on April 5, 2002, today marks 22 years since that day, as well as the day of the death of Kurt Cobain but in 1994, also a great legend of alternative rock. I made this video to show my drawing, using black cardboard and white pencils, I hope you like it.

Hola amigos espero que estén muy bien, en esta oportunidad comparto un video corto para recordar el fallecimiento de uno de los mejores cantantes de rock que he escuchado en mi vida, Layne Stayle, vocalista de la banda de grunge Alice In Chains. Layne fue uno de los vocalistas que más influenció mi vida con su forma de cantar y estilo único, fue una verdadera lástima como terminó su vida, alguien con un gran talento como el que poseía, siempre pienso hasta hubiera llegado con su arte. Murió un 5 de abril del año 2002, hoy se cumplen 22 años de aquel día, así como también el día de la muerte de Kurt Cobain pero del año 1994, también una gran leyenda del rock alternativo. Hice este video para mostrar mi dibujo, utilizando cartulina negra y lápices de color blanco, espero que les guste.

I still had black cardboard to draw, I haven't bought this paper for months, since I have concentrated on acrylic paint instead of colored pencils, so since it was the last one I had left, there was nothing better than making this drawing. I made a simple sketch with a white school wax pencil, useful for the first lines that you want to erase later.

Aun me quedaba cartulina negra para dibujar, hace meses que no compro este papel, ya que me he concentrado en la pintura acrílica en lugar de los lápices de colores, así que al ser la última que me quedaba, nada mejor que hacer este dibujo. Hice un boceto sencillo con un lápiz de cera blanco escolar, útil para las primeras líneas que luego se deseen borrar.

After some guide lines I began to shape the part of the head, the face, first of all, so that it would be my starting point and thus know that the drawing had a good shape. Following this rhythm I sketched the entire drawing including the hand with which he holds the microphone. Then I change pencil and choose white charcoal to give more strength to the contrast of the light.

Luego de unas líneas guías fui dándole forma a la parte de la cabeza, el rostro, en primer lugar, para que fuer ami punto de partida y así saber que el dibujo tenía buena forma. Siguiendo este ritmo hice el boceto de todo el dibujo incluyendo la mano con la que sostiene el micrófono. Luego cambio de lápiz y elijo el carboncillo blanco para darle más fuerza al contraste de la luz.

Next, with the white charcoal color I do the magic of giving more volume to the drawing, it helps a lot in contrast with the black background, it is like to give it realism, I begin to fill in the entire drawing part by part, starting with the face which is my point of interest. departure.

Seguidamente con el color carboncillo blanco hago la magia de darle más volumen al dibujo, ayuda mucho en contraste con el fondo negro, es como para darle realismo, comienzo a rellenar parte por parte todo el dibujo, comenzando por el rostro que es mi punto de partida.

I finished by drawing and painting the parts of the edges, I really like making these kinds of drawings on a black background, they make me feel like they have more life.

Finalicé dibujando y pintando las partes de los bordes, me gusta mucho hacer esta clase de dibujos en fondo negro, me hacen sentir que tienen mas vida.
