Probando Ron “Superior” de la casa Santa Teresa

Hacé un par de días me compré por tan solo $4 una botella de un ron venezolano llamado “Superior”, ante todo debo decir que que no es un ron de excelente calidad, creo que es de los mejores rones que hay calidad precio. Aunque por $4 dólares no podemos pedir un ron de excelente calidad.

Tenía años que no tomaba un trago de este ron, y en verdad me gustó, ahora bien, aunque la etiqueta diga que es un ron añejo, este no posee el sello denominación de origen, de modo que hay dos alternativas, una es que no se haya añejado el tiempo necesario según lo dicta la norma, o quizá no se haya añejado en barricas de roble americano. Aunque su color dorado brillante me dice que si pasó por barrica, además que en boca posee ciertos tonos a madera y caramelo.

Aunque la nota alcohólica es bastante intensa, se pueden apreciar otros matices. Creo que es perfecto para cócteles tipo mojito, cubalibre, o ron punch. Si tu has probado este ron, cuéntame en los comentarios cual es tu opinión acerca del ron Superior.

A couple of days ago I bought for only $4 a bottle of a Venezuelan rum called "Superior", first of all I must say that it is not an excellent quality rum, I think it is one of the best rums that there is quality price. Although for $4 dollars we cannot ask for an excellent quality rum.

It had been years since I had a drink of this rum, and I really liked it, now, although the label says it is an aged rum, it does not have the seal denomination of origin, so there are two alternatives, one is that it has not been aged the necessary time as required by the standard, or perhaps it has not been aged in American oak barrels. Although its bright golden color tells me that it did go through barrels, it also has certain wood and caramel tones on the palate.

Although the alcoholic note is quite intense, other nuances can be appreciated. I think it is perfect for mojito, cubalibre, or punch rum cocktails. If you have tried this rum, tell me in the comments what is your opinion about Superior rum.
