Saludos amigos de Hive

Bienvenidos a este segundo episodio de mi podcast de difusión filosófica. Como lo has podido leer en el título hoy quise compartir con ustedes sobre la escuela de Mileto.

Mileto fue una polis griega que en la antigüedad, alrededor del 600 a.C. ciertos personajes dedicaron sus energías a intentar dar una explicación racional al cosmos. Hablamos de Tales, Anaximandro y Anaxímenes.Continuando con la linea discursiva del Primer Episodio donde esbozamos el inicio de la filosofía occidental como un producto del asombro, en este episodio abordaremos los personajes que dan vida a este primer momento de la filosofía occidental.

Estos filósofos asumieron cada uno según su criterio un primer principio elemental de todo lo que hay, por ello, Aristoteles les llama “los fisicos”, o también los naturalistas, ya que al intentar apartarse del antropocentrismo religioso, recorren un camino desde una visión de la naturaleza, a través de entidades metodológicamente observables.

Para Tales, el agua; para Anaximandro, “to ápeiron” (lo indeterminado); y Anaxímenes, el aire.

A pesar que se conserva muy poco de ellos, y de hecho, se dice que Tales jamás escribió, aunque de Anaxímenes y Anaximandro quede muy poco, es suficiente como para entender y darnos cuentas que han sido ellos los que de un modo u otro han comenzado con la historia de la filosofía occidental.

Welcome to this second episode of my philosophical broadcast podcast. As you have been able to read in the title today I wanted to share with you about the school of Miletus.

Miletus was a Greek polis that in antiquity, around 600 BC certain characters devoted their energies to try to give a rational explanation to the cosmos. Continuing with the discursive line of First Episode where we outlined the beginning of Western philosophy as a product of wonder, in this episode we will address the characters that give life to this first moment of Western philosophy.

These philosophers assumed each one according to their own criteria a first elementary principle of all that there is, for this reason, Aristotle calls them "the physicists", or also the naturalists, since when trying to move away from the religious anthropocentrism, they travel a path from a vision of nature, through methodologically observable entities.

For Thales, water; for Anaximander, "to apeiron" (the indeterminate); and Anaximenes, air.

Although very little is preserved of them, and in fact, it is said that Thales never wrote, although very little remains of Anaximenes and Anaximander, it is enough to understand and realize that they have been the ones who in one way or another have started the history of Western philosophy.
