Un partido esperado ya que son los dos mejores equipos del torneo con los dos mejores técnicos, el reconocido Noel "Chita" Sanvicente por los orientales y Eduardo Saragó por el Táchira esto podía prever que sería un juego de ajedrez puro en la cancha, los equipos salieron así:

La novedad en el aurinegro fue la inclusión del recién incorporado Kevin Aladesanmi en sustitución del siempre rápido, escurridizo e inquietante Esli García, cosa que personalmente atribuí a que el tamaño y contextura de los jugadores de la academia eran bastante robustos y seguramente el profe Saragó pretendió colocar un equipo similar en cuanto al físico en la cancha.

The novelty in the aurinegro was the inclusion of the newly incorporated Kevin Aladesanmi to replace the always fast, slippery and disturbing Esli García, something that I personally attributed to the fact that the size and build of the academy players were quite robust and surely the professor Saragó intended to place a similar team in terms of physicality on the field.

Como todo partido de iguales, el gol vino al minuto 50' de un balón detenido en tiro de esquina se cumplió la máxima de que dos cabezazos o dos toques dentro del área es igual a gol, y a tiro de esquina de Ritacco y cabezazo hacia atrás del panameño Ramos, recibió el balón para simplemente de toque introducir el balón al arco Nelson "Teto" Hernández para dar cifras al partido, durante la semana se pudo saber que posterior a este partido Nelson Hernández fue renovado por el aurinegro hasta 2025, este es un jugador que está pidiendo a gritos selección nacional.
