Noticiero Fulldeportivo: un torneo de Ajedrez al estilo del campeonato mundial de fútbol (Esp-Eng)

Complacido nuevamente de presentarles esta sección de “Noticiero Fulldeportivo”, en la que he realizado un reportaje de un torneo de ajedrez celebrado el pasado sábado 16 de julio en la hermosa ciudad blanca de Arequipa, con un novedoso formato, es decir: el formato del campeonato mundial de Fútbol, el cual por cierto está cerca.

Pleased again to present a new section of "Noticiero Fulldeportivo", in which I have made a report of a chess tournament held last Saturday, July 16 in the beautiful white city of Arequipa, with a new format, that is: the format of the world championship of Football, which by the way is near.

Como pueden apreciar en la imagen anterior, en este torneo veremos octavos de final, cuartos de final, semifinales y la gran final. Convine señalar que los nombres que se aprecian corresponden a los participantes del evento. Entre ellos tenemos al joven Rodrigo Viveroz, quien además fue uno de los organizadores del evento y muy generosamente accedió a la entrevista:

As you can see in the image above, in this tournament we will see the round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals and the grand final. It should be noted that the names that can be seen correspond to the participants of the event. Among them we have the young Rodrigo Viveroz, who was also one of the organizers of the event and very generously agreed to the interview:

Uno de las preguntas que no podía faltar, era la relativa al porqué elegir este tipo de formatos, a lo que el joven Rodrigo Viveroz responde:

Para variar, hemos estado viendo que los torneos que acá se celebran siguen el formato clásico de Suizo, Todos contra Todos. Por lo que como aficionados del fútbol se nos ocurrió aplicar este formato…

Conviene señalar que en compañía del joven Rodrigo Viveroz, se encontraba Fabian Flores, el cual también fue entrevistado. En el recurso audiovisual del comienzo podrás disfrutar de todos los detalles de ambas entrevistas.

Acerca las partidas disputadas

En este torneo el control del tiempo estaba marcado por el ritmo Blitz, específicamente 5 minutos para cada jugador, sin incrementos de tiempo por jugada. Un ritmo bastante estricto donde hay que tener mucho cuidado con esa pieza 17 que es el reloj. Vale destacar que ante este tipo de ritmos, las irregulares son castigadas. Entiéndase por una jugada irregular, cuando el jugador hace un movimiento que no está permitido, como por ejemplo:

About the games played

In this tournament the time control was marked by the Blitz rhythm, specifically 5 minutes for each player, with no time increments per move. A very strict rhythm where you have to be very careful with that 17 piece that is the clock. It is worth noting that in this type of rhythm, irregular moves are punished. An irregular move is understood as when the player makes a move that is not allowed, for example:

En la imagen se aprecia al rey negro en una casilla que está amenazada por el caballo. Es muy típico ver este tipo de jugadas irregulares cuando el tiempo ya se te va acabar (vean el reloj), y el rival tiene que estar muy atento para detectarla y pedir la intervención del árbitro. En este torneo que se jugó con dos irregulares se perdía la partida automáticamente. Otra partida que fue bastante controversial fue la última del torneo, donde el joven Arnold Ramos tenia una gran ventaja con las piezas blancas, y de ganar esta partida se empataba el match, por lo que tenia que darse una partida de desempate. No obstante a Arnold Ramos se le agotó el tiempo, y la victoria fue para las piezas negras, lo que significó que el MF Flavio Gonzalez ganara el evento.

The image shows the black king on a square that is threatened by the knight. It is very typical to see this type of irregular moves when time is running out (look at the clock), and the opponent has to be very attentive to detect it and ask the arbiter to intervene. In this tournament that was played with two irregulars, the game was automatically lost. Another game that was quite controversial was the last game of the tournament, where the young Arnold Ramos had a big advantage with the white pieces, and if he won this game the match was tied, so there had to be a tie-breaker game. However, Arnold Ramos ran out of time, and the victory went to the black pieces, which meant that FM Flavio Gonzalez won the event.
