Este Viernes 28 de Julio del año 2023, se disputó la jornada 21 de la primera división del Fútbol Profesional Venezolano, en donde Monagas Sport Club recibió la visita de Zamora Fútbol Club, a partir de las 6:15 PM, en el Estadio Monumental de Maturín.
Ambos clubes llegaban a este duelo con saldo negativo. Monagas Sport Club, salió derrotado en la Bombonerita y Zamora Fútbol Club igualó a cero goles con Deportivo Rayo Zuliano.
Esto daba a entender de que se venía un partido atractivo y de muchas ocasiones de peligro.
