Hello, my beautiful people of @foodiesbeehive on hive! I hope you all are doing great and ready to give always the best.

Last Saturday my husband invited me to a Comic-themed Café that was opening near our house, but when we arrived at 8 pm to the place, we found a very long line and they were closing at 9 pm. So we decided to come back another time and enjoy more time at this new Café and bring you our experience in a future post.

However, since we didn't want to miss the trip and we were also dressed up and cute, we took advantage of the time left to go to an ice cream shop called "Sugarland " that makes handmade ice cream.

We had been to this ice cream shop once before, but we didn't take pictures or record anything, because we wanted to fully enjoy the experience which was very good and this second visit was no exception.

In this sense, I tell you a little of this rich experience.

We arrived at "Sugarland ", at 8: 15 pm, and it should be noted that we were the last customers they received that day, because the schedule is until 9 pm.

The first thing I did was to approach the ice cream bar to see what flavors they had. I am not one to eat ice cream at night because of the cold and because I don't like to consume sugar at night, but that day I made an exception to bring you this publication. A small sacrifice I gladly made! Hehe!

Then, we went up to the second floor to sit at a table. This time we sat at the back of the ice cream parlor, which was decorated with balloons and backdrops.
The seats, which were attached to the wall, had one cushion. The first time we went, we sat with a view of the city.

Santiago and Anita took care of us and I want to emphasize that these guys took care of us as well as the first time. At all times they were friendly, attentive and always with a jovial and beautiful smile on their faces, even though there were only a few minutes left to close. They were both super nice, I was delighted with these young men. **Many of them do this kind of work to pay their way through college, which makes me appreciate what they do all the more!

We started by ordering a cup of nougat ice cream, yogurt with passion fruit and a raspberry sauce. One of the things I like about "Sugarland " ice creams is that they are very creamy without leaving that greasy mouthfeel and the other thing I also like about these ice creams is that they are not cloying. They have just the right sweetness. The combination of nougat and yogurt with passion fruit was perfect and delicious.

On the other hand, even though the kitchen was closing, they received the order we placed for a hot chocolate and a Pannini with goat cheese, olives and basil that took a while to arrive, but it was understandable because we arrived when they were already closing the place.

However, it was worth waiting every second, because the hot chocolate was exquisite, spiced with cardamom and I felt a pinch of salt that brought out its flavor. It was glory!

As for the pannini, it was delicious. The bread arrived warm, it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. In every bite you could taste the flavor of the goat cheese, the tanginess of the black olives and the basil leaves were super fresh and the "lactonesa", a milk-based, green mayonnaise, added moisture to all the ingredients and elevated all the flavors of this succulent sandwich.

"Sugarland" provided us with complete service from minute 1 until we left and never lacked a smile from the waiters.

For me Sugarland is a 10/10.

It's this kind of experience that regenerates our spirits and that you feel you deserve after having a long week of hard work. **It's like a little respite.

¡Hola, mi linda gente de @foodiesbeehive en Hive! Espero se encuentren muy bien y dispuestos siempre a dar lo mejor.

El sábado pasado mi esposo me invitó a un Café con temática de Comic que estaban inaugurando cerca de la casa, pero cuando llegamos a las 8 pm al local, nos encontramos con una fila muy larga y cerraban a las 9 pm. Así que decidimos regresar en otro momento y disfrutar más tiempo de este nuevo Café y traerles nuestra experiencia en una próxima publicación.

Sin embargo, como no queríamos perder el viaje y además estábamos arreglados y lindos, aprovechamos el tiempo que quedaba para ir a una heladería que se llama “Sugarland” que hace helados artesanales.

Ya habíamos ido una vez a esta heladería, pero no tomamos fotos, ni grabamos nada, porque queríamos disfrutar plenamente la experiencia que fue muy buena y en esta segunda visita no fue la excepción.

En este sentido, les cuento un poco de esta rica experiencia.

Llegamos a "Sugarland", a las 8: 15 pm, y cabe destacar que fuimos los últimos clientes que recibieron ese día, pues el horario es hasta las 9 pm.

Lo primero que hice fue acercarme a la barra de helados para ver que sabores tenían. No soy de comer helado de noche por el frío y porque no me gusta consumir azúcar de noche, pero ese día hice una excepción para traerles esta publicación. Un pequeño sacrificio que hice con gusto! Jeje!

Luego, subimos al primer piso para sentarnos en una mesa. Esta vez nos sentamos en la parte de atrás de la heladería que estaba decorada con globos y bambalinas. Los asientos que estaban pegados a la pared, tenían uno cojines. La primera vez que fuimos, nos sentamos con vista a la ciudad.

Santiago y Anita nos atendieron y quiero destacar que estos chicos nos atendieron tan bien como la primera vez. En todo momento fueron amables, atentos y siempre con una jovial y bonita sonrisa en sus caras, a pesar de que ya quedaban pocos minutos para cerrar. Los dos fueron súper simpáticos. ¡Yo quedé encantada con estos jóvenes. Muchos de ellos hacen este tipo de trabajos para pagar su carrera universitaria, lo que me hace valorar aún más lo que hacen*!

Empezamos ordenando una copa de helado de turrón, yogurt con maracuyá y una salsa de frambuesas. Una de las cosas que me gusta de los helados de "Sugarland" es que son muy cremosos sin dejar esa sensación grasosa en la boca y lo otro que también me gusta de estos helados es que no son empalagosos. Tienen el dulzor justo. La combinación de turrón y yogurt con maracuyá fue perfecta y deliciosa.

Por otro lado, a pesar que la cocina estaba cerrando, recibieron el pedido que hicimos de un chocolate caliente y un Pannini con queso de cabra, aceitunas y albahacas que se demoró un poco en llegar, pero la verdad es que fue comprensible porque nosotros llegamos cuando ya estaban cerrando el local.

Sin embargo, valió la pena esperar cada segundo, pues el chocolate caliente estaba exquisito, especiado con cardamomo y le sentí un puntito de sal que hizo resaltar su sabor. ¡Fue la gloria!

En cuanto al pannini, estaba delicioso. El pan llegó calentito, estaba crujiente por fuera y suave por dentro. En cada bocado se sentía el sabor del queso de cabra, el acidito de las aceitunas negras y las hojas de albahaca estaban súper fresas. Ah, y la "lactonesa" verde, mayonesa a base de leche, le otorgó humedad a todos los ingredientes y elevó todos los sabores de este suculento sándwich.

"Sugarland" nos brindó un servicio completo desde el minuto 1, hasta que nos fuimos y nunca falto una sonrisa de parte de quienes nos atendieron.

¡Para mí Sugarland tiene un 10/10.

Es este tipo de experiencias que nos regenera el espíritu y que sientes que te mereces después de haber tenido una semana larga de trabajo duro. Es como un pequeño respiro.

Amigos Hivers, espero hayan disfrutado de este pedacito de uno de los mejores lugares de la Ciudad de Antofagasta para disfrutar con amigos o en familia.
