Somos lo que escuchamos, y son nuestras decisiones las que definen nuestro estilo a la hora de interpretar o componer. He notado la influencia de algunos cantantes en otras personas. Es difícil que alguien sea netamente original, siempre hay alguien que admiramos, tomamos lo mejor, lo bueno y hasta lo malo de aquella que nos gusta. También pasa con la imagen. Lo que me gusta de escuchar diferentes estilos, es que puedo apreciar diferentes enfoques. A la hora de componer pasa lo mismo, para que una persona sea original debe despojarse de cualquier influencia, género, e incluso de reglas. Ahora puede que cualquier melodía suene al igual que otra, ya que la historia de la música tiene casi la misma edad de la civilización humana. Pensar en eso, puede ser contraproducente a la hora de componer.

We are what we listen to, and it is our decisions that define our style when interpreting or composing. I have noticed the influence of some singers on other people. It is difficult for someone to be completely original, there is always someone we admire, we take the best, the good and even the bad from the one we like. It also happens with the image. What I like about listening to different styles is that I can appreciate different approaches. The same thing happens when it comes to composing, for a person to be original they must divest themselves of any influence, genre, and even rules. Now any melody may sound the same as another since the history of music is almost the same age as human civilization. Thinking about that can be counterproductive when composing.

Recuerdo que de niño me encantaba componer con piano, cuando mis padres no estaban en casa era el momento que más me inspiraba, aunque no las escribía en partitura, puedo decir que aún recuerdo las melodías y acordes. Realmente no recuerdo cuál era mi motivación para hacerlo, creo que era porque me gustaba como sonaba. Hoy puedo decir, que hay diferentes aspectos que podrían influir. Si en alguna ocasión me activará a componer, creo que algunos clásicos de la música serían una influencia, la poesía, el amor por la familia, por la naturaleza, e incluso mi fe y mis creencias.

I remember that as a child I loved to compose with piano, when my parents were not at home it was the moment that inspired me the most, although I did not write them on sheet music, I can say that I still remember the melodies and chords. I don't remember what my motivation was for doing it, I think it was because I liked the way it sounded. Today I can say that different aspects could influence. If I ever got triggered to compose, I think some classic music would be an influence, poetry, love for family, for nature, and even my faith and beliefs.

Hoy les traigo mi Interpretación con la trompeta de un Chachachá del compositor Mexicano Alberto Domínguez Borrás, conocido como Frenesí. Este tema fue compuesto en 1939 y originalmente fue escrito para Marimba y ha sido versionado por grandes artistas. Hace unos meses compartí una interpretación del mismo compositor que se llama Perfidia. En cuanto al ritmo puedo decir, este ha sido influenciado y tiene sus orígenes en el Danzón, el mambo y el son montuno. Espero que lo disfruten, una de las versiones que me gusta escuchar es la de Óscar d' León. Al escucharlo, se puede notar su influencia por el cantante cubano Benny Moré.

Today I bring you my interpretation with the trumpet of a Chachachá by the Mexican composer Alberto Domínguez Borrás, known as Frenesí. This theme was composed in 1939 and was originally written for Marimba and has been covered by great artists. A few months ago I shared performance by the same composer called Perfidia. As for the rhythm, I can say that it has been influenced and has its origins in the Danzón, the mambo, and the son montuno.
