Este ha influido en la música comercial actual, y otro aspecto que lo mantiene vivo es que no tiene una camisa de fuerza para fusionarse con otras culturas y ritmos.

One of the musical genres that I am passionate about is Jazz, it enjoys freedom in the diversity of rhythms and sounds. This has influenced current commercial music, and another aspect that keeps it alive is that it doesn't have a straitjacket to merge with other cultures and rhythms.

Recuerdo cuando empecé a estudiar piano, me dieron una partitura de un tema que nunca había escuchado. Me costaba tocarlo por la complejidad de sus acordes. A medida que iba estudiando lenguaje musical y aprendía conceptos de armonía, esto me ayudo a saber como interpretar la pieza. Este tema es «Misty» compuesto por el pianista Erroll Garner y con letra de Johnny Burke.
