When you Wish upon a Star - Leigh Harline (Cover) by @yisusth [ENG/SPA]

Greetings to all members of the Sound Music community and all those who love music. Today I share with you my trumpet interpretation of a Disney classic titled "When You Wish upon a Star", a song composed by Leigh Harline and Ned Washington. You will surely remember Jiminy Cricket's (Cliff Edwards) performance in the 1940 animated film Pinocchio. The melody is simple and memorable. This begins with an octave jump, which gives the song a sense of longing and hope. This develops throughout the song in a simple and natural way, and culminates in a triumphant climax in the chorus. The harmony is mostly tonal and consonant, which contributes to its sense of optimism and hope. The rhythm is moderate and constant, and has a typical structure of pop songs, with an introduction, a verse, a chorus, a bridge and an outro.

Hoy les comparto mi interpretación con la trompeta de un clásico de Disney titulado «When You Wish upon a Star», una canción compuesta por Leigh Harline y Ned Washington. Seguramente recordarán la interpretación de Pepe Grillo (Cliff Edwards) en la película animada Pinocho de 1940. La melodía es sencilla y memorable. Esta comienza con un salto de octava, que da a la canción un sentido de anhelo y esperanza. Esta se desarrolla a lo largo de la canción de forma sencilla y natural, y culmina en un clímax triunfal en el estribillo. La armonía es mayormente tonal y consonante, lo que contribuye a su sensación de optimismo y esperanza. El ritmo es moderado y constante, y tiene una estructura típica de las canciones pop, con una introducción, un verso, un coro, un puente y un outro.

One of my favorite characters in the movie is Jiminy Cricket. He is a counselor and friend to Pinocchio and teaches him about the importance of honesty, kindness and responsibility. He also teaches her that the path to happiness is not always easy, but that it is worth taking. I believe that all people have a conscience. Conscience is an inner voice that tells us what is right and what is wrong. It is a guide that helps us make good decisions and live a moral life. Pepe Grillo represents the voice of conscience. He is the character who is always there for Pinocchio, even when Pinocchio doesn't want to listen to him. He teaches Pinocchio to listen to his conscience and follow his guidance. In my personal life I have had great impressions on my mind and heart that have helped me make the right decisions, such as something as simple as taking the right bus. Later, I realize that it was the best option, and that it prevented me from theft or any setbacks.

Uno de mis personajes favoritos de la película es Pepe Grillo. Él es un consejero y un amigo de Pinocho y le enseña sobre la importancia de la honestidad, la bondad y la responsabilidad. También le enseña que el camino hacia la felicidad no siempre es fácil, pero que vale la pena recorrerlo. Considero, que todas las personas tenemos una conciencia. La conciencia es una voz interior que nos dice lo que está bien y lo que está mal. Es una guía que nos ayuda a tomar buenas decisiones y a vivir una vida moral. Pepe Grillo representa la voz de la conciencia. Es el personaje que siempre está ahí para Pinocho, incluso cuando Pinocho no quiere escucharlo. Él le enseña a Pinocho a escuchar su conciencia y a seguir su guía. En mi vida personal he tenido grandes impresiones en mi mente y corazón que me han ayudado a tomar decisiones correctas, como por ejemplo algo tan simple como tomar el autobús adecuado. Luego, me doy cuenta que fue la mejor opción, y que me evite un robo o algún contratiempo.
