Hi Afri-tunes community, it's week #87 of our weekly music event, another time to share and explore African music, alright this week I'll be doing a song by Emma Oh my God titled "Oba ni Jesu."
I see this song as a very beautiful song which I think it's worth sharing here, okay for the sake of those that did not understand Yoruba, "oba ni Jesu" means JESUS is king.
The song emphasize on how Jesus had redeemed us from the shackles of sin and slavery of Satan.
We receive salvation and we become a new creation through Jesus.
Sometimes I use to think that if God should judge us based on what we do, our behavior etc... All or many of us will not be living today, we would have been long dead. But Christ has been overlooking some of our wrong doings and keep waiting for us maybe we can change our ways and come back to Him, He also died so we can have life and have it more abundantly.
Also this year is gradually running to an end, it's best that we give God the praise and thanksgiving that he deserves, many people that we started this year together are dead some have been hospitalized for a long time now, some in prison, some are victims of evil circumstances, we can keep counting what has happened and what is happening but we just thank God because despite all this he has so faithful and good to us.
Alright I hope you find my cover version atleast a little bit interesting, thanks.
