Natalia – Antonio Lauro para mandolina [ENG-ESP]

  Hola, respetada comunidad de Hive! Bueno, quiero contarles un poco de lo que ha pasado últimamente. Comencé a estudiar en la Universidad Central de Venezuela y he tenido que quedarme en Caracas en donde no tengo mis equipos para grabar, ni nada… pero decidí que aun así puedo hacer buen contenido para ustedes.

  En esta oportunidad les traigo una canción que me costó bastante, un tema algo exigente y que de hecho no es de mandolina. Natalia – Antonio Lauro, una obra solista para guitarra con adaptación para mandolina.

  Hace mucho tiempo encontré la partitura de este grandioso tema, no recuero bien que versión era pero sé que cuando un profesor me escuchó me recomendó otra versión que es la que toco en este momento. Iván Adler era un músico, mandolinista venezolano, que academizó la mandolina en Venezuela, el primero en hacerlo aquí. Él viajó a Alemania y trajo mucho repertorio académico y así fundó en Caracas la cátedra de mandolina académica. No obstante, también tocaba música popular e hizo diversos arreglos como este arreglo de Natalia, también de otros como Amalia y Caraqueñita.

  Yo considero que este tema es de gran nivel, es técnicamente muy complicado y debes dominar bien las posiciones del instrumento. Para mí fue un gran paso, realmente hay temas que te dejan marcado ya sea por su dificultad o por su carga sentimental, este lo hizo por la complejidad. Quizá no tenga una gran historia pero también son importantes esos temas que tardas semanas en perfeccionar y aun así no podrías decir que sale a la perfección. Son esas obras que tocas tantas veces que no sabes si un día la tocarás como quisieras y ahí es donde ves la capacidad que tiene la constancia en el ser humano, ya que con esta logramos grandes cosas, este tema fue un logro personal para mí y es un honor poder traerla a esta comunidad. ¡Espero la disfruten!

I started studying at the Central University of Venezuela and I had to stay in Caracas where I don't have my equipment to record, or anything... but I decided that I can still make good content for you.

   This time I bring you a song that cost me quite a lot, a somewhat demanding theme and that in fact is not mandolin. Natalia - Antonio Lauro, a solo piece for guitar with mandolin adaptation.

   A long time ago I found the score of this great theme, I don't remember well which version it was but I know that when a teacher listened to me he recommended me another version which is the one I play at the moment. Ivan Adler was a musician, a Venezuelan mandolinist, who academized the mandolin in Venezuela, the first one to do it here. He traveled to Germany and brought back a lot of academic repertoire and thus founded in Caracas the chair of academic mandolin. However, he also played popular music and made several arrangements such as this arrangement of Natalia, as well as others like Amalia and Caraqueñita.

   I consider this song to be of a high level, it is technically very complicated and you must master the positions of the instrument well. For me it was a big step, there really are themes that leave you marked either by their difficulty or by their sentimental charge, this one did it for its complexity. Maybe it doesn't have a great story, but those themes that take weeks to perfect and even then you can't say that it comes out perfectly are also important. They are those works that you play so many times that you do not know if one day you will play it as you would like and that is where you see the capacity of constancy in the human being, because with this we achieve great things, this theme was a personal achievement for me and it is an honor to bring it to this community.
