Hello to all the members of the Open Mic community! I've been going through a couple of complicated situations these days and, as a result, I was a bit lost in terms of posting on Hive with the same constancy I've been doing. Even so, when I read the theme of the week, I felt compelled to participate. I'm a big fan of anime, since I grew up watching it. Series like Digimon, Pokémon, Naruto, One Piece, Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, The Super Champions, Samurai X, among many more, are the definition of my childhood. So, as was merited, with the "Otaku" theme, I chose my all-time favorite opening song, which is "Mi corazón encantado" from Dragon Ball GT. Originally, this song was composed by Zard band leader Izumi Sakai under the name "Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku", and was gifted to the band Field of View, who recorded it in 1996 for their album Dear Old Days. Soon after, Toei Animation bought the rights to the song and used it for the continuation of Dragon Ball Z. When the anime arrived in Mexico in 1999, a Spanish version of the song was needed, and it was commissioned to singer Aaron Montalvo to give us the version that all of my generation grew up listening to. The lyrics of the song show an intense love and the desire to overcome difficulties and darkness with the loved one. It also highlights the narrator's willingness to fight for that love and to find a shared destiny.

He estado atravesando estos días por un par de situaciones complicadas y, por ende, andaba un poco perdido en cuanto a publicar en Hive con la misma constancia que venía llevando. Aun así, al leer la temática de la semana, me sentí obligado a participar. Soy un gran fan del anime, ya que crecí viéndolo. Series como Digimon, Pokémon, Naruto, One Piece, Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Los Supercampeones, Samurai X, entre muchas más, son la definición de mi infancia. Así que, como era meritorio, con el tema "Otaku", escogí mi opening favorito de toda la vida, que es "Mi corazón encantado"de Dragon Ball GT. Originalmente, esta canción fue compuesta por la líder de la banda Zard, Izumi Sakai, bajo el nombre de "Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku", y fue obsequiada a la banda Field of View, quienes la grabaron en 1996 para su álbum Dear Old Days. También se resalta la disposición del narrador de luchar por ese amor y de encontrar un destino compartido.
