En el vídeo anterior, daba la bienvenida a Paul Morphy quien fue el jugador más impactante del siglo XIX, reconocido como el mayor genio del mundo e inmortalizado para siempre en todo lo referente al mundo de las 64 casillas. El días de ayer les comenté que al menos dedicaría 3 vídeos a este personaje, trayendo para ustedes sus más impactantes partidas o al menos las que encierran un historia impactante.

Hoy vamos a retroceder con la imaginación a 1849, dos años antes de que Morphy emprendiera su viaje por el mundo a poco menos que humillar a todo aquel que se enfrentó. Veremos la última partida que jugó en el Club de ajedrez de New Orleans, donde derrotó a los jugadores más fuerte de ahí y reinó desde la edad de 12 años.

Lo curioso de esta partida en concreto es que ya Morphy estaba a un nivel nunca antes visto, tanto así, que decide comenzar a jugar sin la torre de a1, dando a su rival una torre de ventaja, hoy en día esta acción no sería más que un acto suicida, por el nivel que tienen los jugadores de hoy.

Charle Le Carpentier fue el encargado de jugar contra Morphy esta partida llevando las negras y con una torre de ventaja, tristemente para él, fue como si lo atropellara un carro a 200 km/h (no lo vio venir) y no es porque no supiera jugar, sino que, el juego de Paul Morphy esta adelantado al menos 30 o 50 años para la época.

Esta partida al igual que la anterior, no tiene desperdicio alguno, en verdad espero que lo disfruten, saludos y un fuerte abrazo.

Today we are going to go back in our imagination to 1849, two years before Morphy undertook his journey around the world to little short of humiliating everyone he faced. The curious thing about this game in particular is that Morphy was already at a level never seen before, so much so that he decided to start playing without the a1 tower, giving his rival a tower advantage; today this action would no longer be than a suicidal act, given the level of today's players.
