Hive Music festival week #74 Round #2: Jorge Drexler - La luna de Rasquí (cover)

Saludos, querido espectador! Bienvenido o bienvenida una vez más a un post musical, esta vez para la comunidad de music Zone, en su festival semana número 74 ronda 2. Agradezco por estar aquí compartiendo con mis colegas músicos semanalmente un rato de bella música, la creatividad nos unes y nos nutre, nos hace aprender y superarnos, nos hace disfrutar y brillar con lo que hacemos, la música nos permite eso, y la comunidad nos alienta a ello.

Ayer fui a la playa con mi mamá y mi hermano, fue un grato día, pasamos un rato agradable, la playa estaba cálida y el dia muy soleado, mi hermano se llevo algunos papagayos y los volamos juntos, jugué raquetas con mi madre y bueno, eramos bastante malos, no podíamos mantener la pelota por mucho tiempo, pero igual lo disfrutamos. Me quemé bastante a pesar de usar protector solar, así que bueno, hoy estoy sufriendo las heridas del ayer en la playa.

Casualmente, la canción que hoy traigo habla de la playa, o eso creo, La luna de Rasquí de Jorge Drexler menciona la arena blanca en su letra, así que me imagino que se refiere a la playa. Para ser una canción que habla de la luna es muy alegre, normalmente, las canciones que hablan de la luna en su mayoría son dramáticas y melancólicas. Estuve buscando en internet que era Rasquí y al parecer es un lugar de aquí de Venezuela, una playa, en la cual Jorge se inspiró para hacer esta canción.

La canción nos habla de cómo la luna interactúa con el artista, tirado en la arena puede verla a los ojos y ella solo habla con el. En Rasquí no hay pena, si no puro goce y suelo bendito, dicho por las palabras de la propia luna. No sé si Jorge estaría alucinando, pero afirma comunicarse con la luna, bueno, todos sentimos una conexión con la luna sea como sea, su energía magnética y bello color plateado nos atrae con su brillo y nos inspira a componerle poesía y música.

I thank you for being here sharing with my fellow musicians weekly a time of beautiful music, creativity unites us and nourishes us, makes us learn and improve ourselves, makes us enjoy and shine with what we do, music allows us to do that, and the community encourages us to do so.

Yesterday I went to the beach with my mom and my brother, it was a nice day, we had a nice time, the beach was warm and the day was very sunny, my brother took some parrots and we flew them together, I played racquets with my mom and well, we were pretty bad, we couldn't keep the ball for long, but we still enjoyed it. I got pretty sunburned despite using sunscreen, so well, today I'm suffering from yesterday's injuries on the beach.

Coincidentally, the song I bring today talks about the beach, or so I think, Jorge Drexler's La luna de Rasquí mentions white sand in his lyrics, so I imagine it refers to the beach. For a song that talks about the moon it is very cheerful, normally, songs that talk about the moon are mostly dramatic and melancholic. I was looking on the internet for Rasquí and apparently it is a place here in Venezuela, a beach, where Jorge was inspired to make this song.

The song talks about how the moon interacts with the artist, lying on the sand he can look into her eyes and she only talks to him. In Rasquí there is no sorrow, but pure joy and blessed ground, in the words of the moon itself. I don't know if Jorge is hallucinating, but he claims to communicate with the moon, well, we all feel a connection with the moon no matter what, its magnetic energy and beautiful silver color attracts us with its brightness and inspires us to compose poetry and music to it.
