DON'T WALK AWAY - JUANITO MAKANDE, "COVER".

**Greetings and hugs, dear community. Here I am again, sharing and showing you the art that fills us all: Music, with which we can delve into the depths of our deepest and most significant feelings and processes. **

For today, I have the pleasure of presenting you with a song that I find splendid because of the philosophy that lies in its lyrics. This is a song called "No te alejes" written by "Juanito Makande". This is a Spanish composer of whom I have heard several songs. Most of his compositions are a mix between popular and flamenco (this artist is able to write a regae or rock song and sing it with a flamenco hoarse timbre).

Now, talking a little more about the song that I bring today. I got to know this song (as well as its author) thanks to a cover made by a good friend of mine @joseacabrerav. I confess that this friend of mine has shown me very nice music to play.

When I listened to the song, I was very amazed by what it narrated. It was an introspective and beautiful lyric, but at the same time it was explicit when talking about observations of certain internal situations that were being generated along his journey. Below I would like to quote parts of the lyrics in order to understand them in more detail so that their beautiful message of human reconstruction can reach us:

"I got tired of peeking at the wasp
that dwells inside of me
And I felt how the weight I was dragging
suddenly went away
And I found a way not to hurt myself in the dark
I understood that often there are storms in which the clouds are me".

Here we speak of a change at the psychological and spiritual level, which leads the subject to have an observation of himself and his erroneous thoughts. He gets tired of observing the abyss inside him because he refuses to continue to give strength to his fears and his denonies. By doing this, he frees himself from a weight, he frees himself from the conditions of mind and fear. We can also perceive in this stanza a verse that says "And I found a way not to hurt myself in the dark", here the subject refers to a method that avoids mistreating himself in the midst of hard processes of life; which is something very relevant due to the despotism and anguish that we generate in us in the face of adverse situations. Subsequently, he discovers that he is the clouds of his storms, showing that he is the only one responsible for his unhappiness and mental chaos.

"From the inside out we live better

And lend me just a little bit of that beautiful light when I can't anymore
Don't walk away, stay close to me
Don't hide, don't get lost anymore
Don't go away, a minute is worth much more when the road is with you"

This last stanza would be the chorus part. Here we can find shades of reflection and romance, making us see that the subject is at a point of longing for the light of a love and its sharing along the way. In the part that says "From the inside out you live better" I don't really know what he is trying to say, perhaps it is a way of referring to the internal work he has been doing and that, in this way, he has learned to live from what he has cultivated inside himself to be able to externalize light outwards.

I was able to see that in the eyes of the dogs there is now humanity.
I understood that I am just a child who always wants to play.
And I found a forbidden formula called freedom"

I find the dynamics of the song very moving. I feel that its lyrics are like a journey through the world of appreciation and recognition towards ourselves and others.
In this verse, we can see how the subject enjoys lying under an olive tree watching the landscape. We can also perceive the empathy he generates for the dogs. Reference is also made to the discovery of his inner child, which is a form of human consciousness that is always in us. And finally, it mentions the forbidden formula called freedom, which ends up being a remnant of all the work of discovery and restructuring of humanity that the subject has done.

I confess that this is a personal interpretation of the content of creation. The truth is that you never know what was the intention with which the artists originally wrote the songs (unless you explain it) but in the end it is about being an interpreter and, as long as we can interpret things and ideas in the most positive way, then life will be more beautiful.
