El pasado sábado, en el Estadio de Maracaná, el Fluminense Football Club se proclamó por primera vez en su historia Campeón de la Copa Libertadores al derrotar al club argentino Boca Juniors, en posiblemente la final más entretenida que se ha presenciado desde la imposición del formato de final a partido único.

Last Saturday, at the Maracana Stadium, Fluminense Football Club won the Copa Libertadores for the first time in its history by defeating Argentine club Boca Juniors, in possibly the most entertaining final to be witnessed since the imposition of the single-match final format.

En una final la cual tenía pocas expectativas de ver un buen juego por la actualidad de los equipos que serían parte de este encuentro; me aprendió que tuviera todos los ingredientes que tanto para bien y para mal, son característicos de este prestigioso e importante torneo de clubes en Sudamérica; tanto Fluminense como Boca juniors, hicieron lo posible de manera correcta e incorrecta de crear emoción entre sus seguidores y en quiénes disfrutan de este deporte y entiende todo lo que representa esta competición; personalmente fue emocionante y a la vez nostálgico ver cómo en este encuentro mientras transcurría los minutos me hizo recordar ese tiempo en dónde la actitud de los equipos era importante para la obtención de este gran título.
