La selección venezolana disputó su último encuentro como local del torneo clasificatorio al próximo mundial organizado por Conmebol en dónde enfrentó a la selección de Ecuador, el cual terminaría en un empate a cero.

The Venezuelan national team played its last home game of the qualifying tournament for the next World Cup organized by Conmebol, where it faced the Ecuadorian national team, which ended in a scoreless draw.

En la quinta jornada del torneo clasificatorio, La Vinotinto obtuvo un resultado positivo, no el mejor, pero si uno que espero traiga a tierra a tanto jugadores, cuerpo técnico y aficionados; recordemos que está selección nunca ha clasificado a un Mundial de Fútbol y se presenta esta gran oportunidad en que haciendo un buen trabajo, demostrando inteligencia y humildad, se puede conseguir objetivos muy importantes y para que eso ocurra, los actores antes nombrados deben ser realistas, nunca conformistas, realistas y en mi opinión, eso les hará apreciar aún más algún resultado como el obtenido en la anterior jornada que podrá ser mejor si en la próxima se obtiene una victoria; está breve opinión personal, la comparto con todos ustedes porque mientras se tenga noción de falencias, se podrá apreciar aún más los resultados como el que se obtuvo en el comienzo de esta doble jornada clasificatoria, la cual es la última de este año.

On the fifth day of the qualifying tournament, La Vinotinto obtained a positive result, not the best, but one that I hope will bring both players, coaching staff and fans down to earth; Let's remember that this national team has never qualified to a World Cup and this is a great opportunity in which by doing a good job, showing intelligence and humility, very important objectives can be achieved and for that to happen, the above mentioned players must be realistic, never conformist, realistic and in my opinion, that will make them appreciate even more a result like the one obtained in the previous day that could be better if a victory is obtained in the next one; I share this brief personal opinion with all of you because as long as you have a notion of shortcomings, you will be able to appreciate even more the results like the one obtained at the beginning of this double qualifying round, which is the last one of this year.
