Greetings everyone in the HiveOpenmic community. I welcome you all to week 183 with the theme "Goodbye" by @glowie.

I still remain @mhizerbee and in regards to the theme, I will be presenting a song by Donnie Mcclurkin titled ** Goodbye world**

I hope you enjoy the song. It is a simple, popular and well known song by everyone.

I had prepared a song to present, but I don't know what happened, I couldn't find the instrumental of the song. I was frustrated and sad.

All the energy, efforts and endeavour I had to present it went futile so, instead of not dropping my entry for this week, I decided to use my voice and sing without any instrumental and I guess I tried.

Goodbye according to the dictionary, is a farewell; a formula used to another person or persons when the speaker, writer, or person addressed is departing.

Now, Goodbye world by Donnie Mcclurkin is a song of repentance and restitution which talks about leaving behind sin and every other thing that is related to sin.

World there is seen as sin, material things, quest for good things, money, fame, name it. And it points out that those aforementioned can lure a believer and a Christian to hell, satan and his ways.

He started by saying and declaring that he has made up his mind not to turn back to sin because heaven is the goal.

That is when he added goodbye world meaning goodbye to sin, fame, money, material things and all good things of life that can make him not to reach heaven.

The same thing is applicable to us. You and I know the things that can hinder us from going to heaven and being with the lord in his mansion.

So, therefore, it is high time we leave those things behind by saying goodbye to them in our actions and the way we speak and live.
