Esta es una semana muy navideña y nuestro querido @purplesinger lo sabe! Por eso eligió este tema que le agradecemos muchísimo!

Winter es un tema que me trajo tantos recuerdos como nostalgias de cosas vividas y otras por vivir.
Estuve debatiendome fuertemente por saber cuál tema tomaría para esta semana. Debo destacar que la semana pasada hubo muchísimos amigos de la comunidad que hicieron temas simplemente excelentes y súper acordes a la temática por eso fue un reto elegir algo para esta semana que fuese conocido y al mismo tiempo nos recordara la época tan navideña que estamos viviendo como lo es La Navidad en el mes de Diciembre!

Ahora bien, el tema que elegí esta semana es Campanas De Ucrania o Carol Of The Bells. No todos lo saben pero esta composición originalmente no era una canción navideña, ni siquiera se sabía exactamente a quien atribuirsele sino hasta que fue tomada para ser arreglada y en base a eso fue colocada la letra que hoy conocemos en este "Villancico de las Campanas".

Hay algo que me parece mágico en esta canción y es que encuentra la manera delicada pero exacta de describir todo lo que ocurre en esta fecha del año sin dejar pasar la magia navideña entorno a ella. Y es que nunca he visto el invierno de cerca pero no es difícil imaginarme en un ambiente así.

Debo confesar que el último trimestre no ha sido la mejor época de mi vida y que hay pocas cosas que me levantan el ánimo, la música es una de ellas y aunque este es un arreglo de otro arreglo que hice el año pasado por estas fechas para una muestra academica navideña en la escuela de música donde recibía clases, sigue siendo de mis canciones favoritas. Les dejo acá el arreglo en el que me basé. Es un arreglo del quinteto musical Pentatonix que reduje la armonía para hacerse a 3 violines y también acorté un poco la pieza en sí.

Espero que sea de su agrado y la puedan disfrutar.

Winter is a theme that brought back so many memories and nostalgia of things lived and things to live.
I've been debating hard about which theme I would choose for this week. I must point out that last week there were many friends of the community who made simply excellent themes and super consistent with the theme so it was a challenge to choose something for this week that was known and at the same time reminded us of the Christmas season we are living as Christmas in the month of December!

Now, the theme I chose this week is Ukrainian Bells or Carol Of The Bells. Not everyone knows it but this composition was not originally a Christmas song, it was not even known exactly to whom it was attributed until it was taken to be arranged and based on that was placed the lyrics that today we know in this "Carol of the Bells".

There is something that seems magical to me in this song and is that it finds the delicate but exact way to describe everything that happens at this time of the year without missing the Christmas magic around it. I've never seen winter up close but it's not hard to imagine myself in such an environment.

I must confess that the last quarter has not been the best time of my life and there are few things that lift my spirits, music is one of them and although this is an arrangement of another arrangement I did last year at this time for a Christmas showcase at the music school where I was taking classes, it is still one of my favorite songs. Here is the arrangement I based it on. It is an arrangement of the Pentatonix musical quintet that I reduced the harmony to 3 violins and I also shortened the piece itself.
