Festival "Apertura de la Navidad" - Alumbra Cocuyito - "Opening Christmas Festival" @Karlaquinviolin

Greetings to the entire Hive Blog community. Today I wish to share with you a very special post. It's about my entry to the "Apertura de la Navidad" Festival, organized between the @Familia.Linares and @La-Colmena; besides being my first post on the @threespeak. platform.

Alumbra Cocuyito", is one of the pieces I grew up with and have had the privilege of interpreting despite not having heard it for over a year. This piece shows one of our musical characteristics, the compas ⅝ that identifies us and clearly indicates that this is VENEZOLAN music. Although the Christmas music of this beautiful country is very cheerful and lively, this is a proof of it. In spite of not being one of the most famous, it is still the cause of many smiles from those who know it.

It is a Venezuelan aguinaldo, most people do not know well the meaning of aguinaldo. It can be confusing, the word Aguinaldo refers to a style of Christmas music from Venezuela. The same word also refers to a gift or payment that can be received at Christmas.

In terms of composition, it refers to two members of the Venezuelan music group Serenata Guayanesa, Iván Pérez Rossi and Hernán Gamboa. Both have been responsible for composing many other Christmas and non-Christmas pieces with which they have filled the childhood of Venezuelans with smiles.*

In this opportunity I am together with my father Vladimir Quintana and we decided to interpret it to 4 voices and to accompany ourselves with a Cuatro, Venezuelan instrument that accompanies the great majority of our music and in addition we made percussion sounds. We recorded the video with an Alcatel 1 and edited it with Kine Master App. We hope you enjoy it and thank you very much for your visit.

¡Un saludo a toda la comunidad de Hive Blog!. Hoy deseo compartir con ustedes un post muy especial. Se trata de mi entrada al Festival "Apertura de la Navidad", organizado entre la Familia Linares y La Colmena; además de ser mi primera publicación en la plataforma 3speak.

"Alumbra Cocuyito", es una de las piezas con las que crecí y he tenido el privilegio de interpretar a pesar de no haberla escuchado hace más de un año. En esta obra se muestra una de nuestras características musicales, el compas ⅝ que nos identifica e indica claramente que esto es música VENEZOLANA. Si bien la música navideña de este hermoso país es muy alegre y movida esta es una prueba de ello. A pesar de no ser una de las más famosas sigue siendo la causa de muchas sonrisas de quienes la conocen.

Es un aguinaldo venezolano, la mayoría de las personas no conocen bien el significado de aguinaldo. Este puede ser confuso, la palabra Aguinaldo se refiere a un estilo de música navideña propio de Venezuela. La misma palabra también se refiere a un regalo o un pago que se pueda recibir en navidad.
En cuanto a composición, se trata de dos integrantes del grupo de música venezolana Serenata Guayanesa Iván Pérez Rossi y Hernán Gamboa. Ambos han sido los responsables de componer muchas otras piezas navideñas y no navideñas con las que han llenado de sonrisas la infancia de los venezolanos.

En esta oportunidad me encuentro junto a mi padre Vladimir Quintana y decidimos interpretarla a 4 voces y acompañarnos con un Cuatro, instrumento venezolano que acompaña la gran mayoría de nuestra música y además hicimos sonidos de percusión.
