[Esp - Ing] La Odisea de mi trabajo de grado // Parte II | The Odyssey of my graduation project // 2

I don't really know if I felt resentment towards my degree project or towards the adviser that my former Peruvian adviser left me. The idea of continuing with it was to follow the plan of working with the three thesis students to present - if possible - on the same day. That plan was not followed. The new advisor dedicated herself to her favorite thesis student, this thesis student was attended to, while she told my partner and me that she was busy and that she could not attend to us.

La tesista favorita de mi asesora presenta su trabajo de grado en el 2019. Yo fui a su presentación, nos sacamos fotos y las publico en Instagram,en el pie de la foto coloque lo siguiente: " ya salió la tesista favorita de mi asesora y ahora no nos quitará nuestro tiempo." Esto causó que mi nueva asesora se molestara diciendome que la estaba difamando y que ya no trabajaría mas conmigo (debo aclarar, porque ya muchos comentan por qué no continué el tema con otro profesor y, según tengo entendido, el tema pertenece al asesor y una vez publicado el que aparece como primer autor es el asesor, ya que éste es un prerequisito para mi graduación, trabajar con otro profesor sería empezar desde cero. Sin recursos y las condiciones de la universidad no lo veía viable).

My advisor's favorite thesis student presents her degree work in 2019. I went to her presentation, we took photos and I publish them on Instagram, in the caption of the photo I put the following: "my advisor's favorite thesis is out and Now it won't take our time." This caused my new advisor to get upset telling me that I was defaming her and that she would no longer work with me (I must clarify, because many already comment on why I did not continue the topic with another professor and, as I understand it, the topic belongs to the advisor and a Once published, the one who appears as the first author is the advisor, since this is a prerequisite for my graduation, working with another professor would be starting from scratch (without resources and the conditions of the university, I did not see it as viable).

La ex asesora peruana intercedió por mi para que la nueva asesora no me abandonara y es lo único bueno que puedo atribuirle, ya que siento que pudo hacer más. En ese tiempo en el que fui ignorado por mi nueva asesora, no busqué trabajo para tener disponibilidad total para cuando me citara para trabajar aprovechar el tiempo, pero me seguía ignorando aún más, también lo hizo con otra de las tesistas y todo para atender a la mejor amiga de su tesista favorita con un nuevo tema y esto con la excusa que debía tener proyecto de trabajo de grado aprobado para cursar seminario II y es cierto, pero para el 2021, ella presentó su trabajo de grado, ésta nueva tesista y los tesistas originales seguimos ignorados y es acá donde digo que mi asesora peruana debió hacer más, pero también pasó algo bueno para mi porque tuve más compañeros con los que puedo sentirme apoyado y éstos eran los tesistas que habían dejado el profesor de genética vegetal, ya que se fue definitivamente a hacer vida en España con un nuevo empleo y dos de éstos compañeros fueron con los que inicialmente estuve en carrera (Biología). La otra tesista fue a quien le cedí el tema de haber trabajado con éste profesor de genética vegetal.

The former Peruvian consultant interceded for me so that the new consultant would not abandon me and that is the only good thing I can attribute to her, as I feel she could have done more. During that time in which I was ignored by my new advisor, I did not look for a job to have total availability for when she would summon me to work, but she kept ignoring me even more, she also did it with another of the thesis students and all to attend the best friend of her favorite thesis student with a new topic and this with the excuse that she had to have her degree project approved to take Seminar II and it is true, but for 2021, she presented her degree project, This new thesis student and the original thesis students are still ignored and this is where I say that my Peruvian advisor should have done more, but something good also happened for me because I had more colleagues with whom I can feel supported and these were the thesis students who had left the professor of plant genetics, since he went to live in Spain with a new job and two of these colleagues were the ones with whom I was initially in career (Biology). The other thesis student was the one to whom I gave the subject of having worked with this professor of plant genetics.

Es necesario soltar este rencor que pueda tener y de verdad lo hago poco a poco. Pero no todo termina mal, finalmente logré presentar mi trabajo de grado el 11 de marzo del 2022, donde mis compañeros, mis mejores amigos, un par de ellas las conocí en el tiempo que me cambié a estudiar Bioanálisis antes de volver a Biología. Mis nuevos y originales compañeros tesistas entre ellos @Juancenteno-1 y mi mejor amiga que conocí cuando ella estudiaba Biología aunque se fue a otra carrera, luego fue la mejor jefa del mundo y gracias a ella, tengo mi empleo actual, ella es @kealeortiz. Muchas de mis fotos acá fueron tomadas por ella desde mi teléfono o el suyo.

It is necessary to let go of this resentment that I may have and I really do it little by little. But not everything ends badly, I finally managed to present my thesis on March 11, 2022, where my classmates, my best friends, a couple of them I met during the time I changed to study Bioanalysis before returning to Biology. My new and original thesis partners among them @Juancenteno-1 and my best friend that I met when she was studying Biology although she went to another career, then she was the best boss in the world and thanks to her, I have my current job, she is @kealeortiz. Many of my photos here were taken by her from my phone or hers.

Luego de eso, mi asesora me escribió directamente por Whatsapp diciendo que fue un placer trabajar conmigo (debió serlo cuando me atendía cuando ella quería) y sentí que quiso como ofrecerme su amistad y yo fui cortés en aceptarla, pero aún tengo mis reservas. El caso es que lo bueno se hizo esperar y fue muy satisfactorio ver de jurado principal a mi profesora favorita de la cual fui preparador docente de botánica 1 y varios de mis profesores del área vegetal como jurado así como mejores amigos y escuchar ese aprobado de mi trabajo de grado.

After that, my advisor wrote me directly on WhatsApp saying that it was a pleasure working with me (it must have been when she attended me when she wanted) and I felt that she wanted to offer me her friendship and I was courteous in accepting it, but I still have my reservations. The fact is that the good things were long in coming and it was very satisfying to see my favorite teacher as the main jury, for whom I was the botany teacher 1 and several of my teachers from the plant area as a jury as well as best friends and to hear that approval of my degree work.
