HIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL Week 49 First Round (ENG-ESP): "Make you feel my Love" by Bob Dylan / Adele

Hello everybody on HIVE, and especially the Music Zone Community. My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from a small coastal town just outside of Cape Town in South Africa! Welcome to Week 49 / Round 1 of the Hive Music Festival!

After first doing my original songs (Weeks 1-22), and then challenging myself to play a wacky new instrument every week (Weeks 23-42), I had started to base my Hive Music Festival entries (Weeks 43-47) on duets with my good friend @clairemobey. Me like to call our duo “MobeyDick”!

Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to see Claire this week. BUT! The good news is that one of the friends, that we are enjoying this long weekend out of town with, is Rhonwyn. On Monday, I had a little gig at the Barleycorn Music Club (that unfortunately @clairemobey couldn’t join me on), but I did ask Rhonwyn to come and sing a cover or two with me at the end of my set. She was very nervous, but I think she did great!

So, let us sing one of the softer covers that we did to you now (my two-year old daughter was already sleeping when we recorded this last night). We are singing to you by the warmth of a fire-place in a beautiful little holiday cottage about 100m from the sea!

The song that we are covering is originally by Bob Dylan towards the middle of his career (The “Time Out of Mind” album from 1997), but it has been extensively covered by stars ever since because it is such a beautiful song. The most notable recent cover is by Adele. The song is called “Make You Feel My Love”!
