MUSIC: Three Tune Tuesday 86 - 3 Funny Songs about Animals! (2 Covers + 1 Original!)

Hello everybody on HIVE, and especially the Music Community. My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from the Cape Town in South Africa.

This is my 21st week contributing to "Three Tune Tuesday", which is an initiative started by @ablaze. It is week 86 overall!

I am trying to stick to a set pattern, where I perform 2 cover songs (written by famous artists) and 1 original song (written by me) around a theme. This week, I thought I would pick the theme of "Funny Songs about Animals"! As opposed to just "Animals", which I have done before, usually with a funny original after more serious covers... but it is deep into "Janu-worry", so let's try cheer up across the board!

For the first cover song, how about the absolute sensational hit by Ylvis called "What Does the Fox Say?". My wife loved this song so much, it had to be on our wedding playlist. We've just played it for our baby daughter Madison and she went bonkers too... it runs in the genes it seems!

For the second cover song, let's go slightly further back into the land of Youtube memes. How about the most irritating song in the world, called "The Duck Song" by Bryant Oden. With over 500 million views on Youtube, this ridiculously stupid song belongs in some kind of Youtube Hall of Fame!

Finally it's time for my own original song! An original song for 21 weeks in a row now. I am definitely starting to run out... there are a few ideas coming up on the horizon, but if the quality is not good then I don't want to subject you to them!

But there are still one or two left for now... this week's one is called "Millie the Best Fat Piggie in Town!" The back-story is that my wife and I used to live next door to neighbours who had stables with a couple of horses in them. For some reason, they also had a massive pet pig called Millie as a pet. Millie just kept getting fatter, because apparently after eating her own food she would wander off to steal from the horses! We heard through the neighbourhood grapevine that the neighbour-father was threatening his wife and kids that Millie was getting too fat, and if the trend couldn't be halted, and if Millie's big belly actually reached the ground in-between her stumpy legs, then it would be time to cook Millie in the oven!

So I decided to write this song to plead for Millie's life. A mutual friend landed up sending it to the neighbours in question, and apparently it worked and Millie was allowed to live to a ripe old age!
