Hoy les traigo otra cápsula de mi Vídeo blog,
con parte de lo que se vive ensayando con mi orquesta.

Today I bring you another capsule of my Video blog, with part of what is lived rehearsing with my orchestra.

During rehearsal we were reviewing the theme of the movie E.T. It is the soundtrack to the 1982 film of the same name composed and directed by John Williams.

Hay casi 80 minutos de música, excluidos los arreglos de álbumes alternativos y grabados solo para la película. En papel, el número total de partituras, excluidas las partes del instrumento, supera las 500 páginas. La música se escribió primero en un boceto para luego entregarlo al orquestador Herbert W. Spencer, quien escribió la partitura completa desde diciembre de 1981 hasta enero.

La orquesta consiste en la de una orquesta estándar habitual con variaciones, p. Ej. Los créditos finales constan de 3 flautas, 2 oboes, 2 clarinetes, 3 fagotes, 4 trompas en fa, 3 trompetas, 3 trombones, 1 tuba, sección de percusión, 1 arpa, 1 sección de piano y cuerda. Otras partes de la película requirieron instrumentos adicionales como celeste y órgano. Durante la grabación, varios de los instrumentos de viento de madera también tocan dobles entre su propio instrumento y flauta de flautín, corno inglés y clarinete y contra fagot.

There are almost 80 minutes of music excluding alternates and album arrangements recorded just for the film. In paper the total number of full score excluding instrument parts excess well over 500 pages. The music was first written on a sketch to later be handed to orchestrator Herbert W. Spencer, who penciled out the full score from December 1981 to January. The orchestra consist of that of a usual standard orchestra with variations, e.g. the end credits consist of 3 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 3 bassoons, 4 horn in f, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, 1 tuba, percussion section, 1 harp, 1 piano and string section. Other parts of the movie required additional instruments such as celeste and organ. During the recording several of the woodwind players also play doubles between their own instrument and piccolo flute, English horn, and a clarinet, and contra bassoon.
