Fue escrita por el por el compositor estadounidense James Pierpont entre 1950 y 1957 y su nombre original fue The One Horse Open Sleigh.
A pesar de ser una icono navideño, esta pieza no es una canción de navidad y en su letra no se menciona nada relativo a la fecha, su tema principal son las carreras de de caballos.
The Song
It is one of the most listened Christmas songs in the world, it is so symbolic that we can hear this melody even in the lights and Christmas decorations with which we usually decorate our house. It was written by the American composer James Pierpont between 1950 and 1957 and its original name was The One Horse Open Sleigh.
Despite being a Christmas icon, this piece is not a Christmas song and its lyrics do not mention anything related to the date, its main theme is horse racing.
