"This is an amateur-recorded video. And I immortalize it for a documentation without editing. Hopefully the audience can see the nature of the culture of the Acehnese people in the culture and traditions of preventing the Covid-19 outbreak."
Hi friends in the cultural community. This time I will share a post about the traditions of the Acehnese people in Indonesia to expel the Corona-19 Virus. This tradition is part of the culture of the Acehnese people of ancient times when facing calamities and disasters that hit. This method is part of the belief in God Almighty, which was brought by the Prophet Muhammad.
Friends, this traditional ritual took place in several villages in Kembang Tanjong Pidie District, Aceh, held a joint remembrance and prayer against reinforcements. This is done by going around the alleys in each of their villages, while burning torches.
In order to achieve the goal of preventing COVID-19, which has attacked residents and is deadly, residents while walking around the hall also read prayers. It is hoped that the strands of prayer that are said to God can overcome all the problems caused by the corona virus.
In the last week, the number of deaths due to the Corona Virus has increased in the Pidie area of Aceh, Indonesia. Almost every day the death rate is recorded at the highest level in Aceh. Even areas that are included in the Covid red zone have been very disturbing.
So that the Regency Government takes alternative policies to prevent the death rate caused by the Corona Virus. The government wrote to all village government agencies and instructed them to carry out various important activities, in order to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 Virus.
Thus, as is usually the culture and tradition that prevails in Indonesia. And according to Islamic religious beliefs, the majority of the population in Indonesia who adheres to Islam with the Ahlussunnah Waljamaah sect always anticipates each disaster by praying together.
Besides that, apart from praying together, they also prayed by going around the village. Residents simultaneously walked into the entrance of the hallway, they shouted prayers and all prayed to God. It is hoped that the universe can hear all the complaints they are facing.
They expect God to immediately intervene in the problem, and raise all the problems that plague them to the sky. As is well known prayer can always knock on heaven's door, and God listens to what they ask. They believe that all this time the virus was part of God's intervention that made them sink and die. That is why, they want everything to return to God, and God can help them. Torches were burned to make all their curious in hope.
Igniting a fire to explain the light in the shadows, and being a lamp for humans where the role of the lamp can obscure all circumstances and conditions. They hope that God will bring a bright light into their lives. The traditional way is an important part of worship and belief as part of the sacrifice to God. Does not God see and hear what His servants are feeling on this earth?
After they finished walking around, they gathered at the surau, and got a packet of cooked fried rice, a piece of fried chicken, a bottle of drink. They enjoy it to unwind. They enjoy it selflessly. It is hoped that death will end soon, and people will be able to live in prosperity again and take off their masks. They don't want to be vaccinated, they are afraid of the swap. And surely a normal life is a dream and hope.
Everything related to the Corona Virus has made everything into a vacuum. Therefore, various traditions and cultures that saw them raised their hands and moved to take solutions. The role of culture and tradition that has been adapted to the law is one of the best ways to anticipate people's lives from adversity and despair.
Here in this post my friends can all see, how they move regardless of age. how they worship God by planting themselves in prayer. Culture has made them grow back and enthusiasm from the news of the death that plagued them due to Covid-19.
