Tradition of Fishing with Trawls in Indonesia

There is a fishing tradition carried out by fishing communities in Aceh, called Tarek Pukat, which is a fishing activity carried out by a group of adult men using trawls, objects such as large and long nets to catch fish.

Almostall areas in Aceh Province have marine waters which are used as a source of community income. The ancestors considered local customs and wisdom to be quite important.

This can then be seen from several arts in Aceh, one of which is the Tarek Pukat dance which is still preserved.
