Once again I am happy to participate in the Hive Open Mic in Week 159, "A Good Friend." It is the theme chosen by the featured artist and friend of our community: @jesus-son. One of my favorite TV shows is F·R·I·E·N·D·S, and I've had the opportunity to watch all 10 seasons, including the recent reunion special they had to reunite. To remember this series I bring you my interpretation with my trumpet of the song "I'll Be There For You", a pop rock song composed by Michael Skloff and Allee Willis. It was popularized and performed by the group The Rembrandts and is the main song of this series from the 90s. Una vez más me siento feliz de participar en el Hive Open Mic en la Semana 159, "A Good Friend." Es el tema elegido por el artista destacado y amigo de nuestra comunidad: @jesus-son. Una de mis series de televisión favoritas es F·R·I·E·N·D·S, y he tenido la oportunidad de ver las 10 temporadas, incluso la reciente reunión especial que tuvieron para reencontrarse. Para recordar esta serie les traigo mi interpretación con mi trompeta de la canción «I'll Be There For You», una canción pop rock compuesta por Michael Skloff y Allee Willis. Fue popularizada e interpretada por el grupo The Rembrandts y es la canción principal de esta serie de la década de los 90. La letra de esta pieza musical habla de ser un buen amigo, de estar en los momentos difíciles y los alegres, en los instantes que brilla el sol, y en los de tempestad.

When I think of a good friend, beautiful experiences come to mind. Even in times of illness. As some of you may know, I was a missionary and carried the Gospel message for two years. It was an altruistic act where I abandoned all my personal things to serve other people and invite them to come to Christ. Along the way I met wonderful people who offered me their helping hand, and unconditionally. I remember that in the first area where I was, we came to a home where we not only shared the message, but also served them. Simple things like sweeping, washing dishes, food preparation and other details, we were very attentive to any service opportunity. That family, when they saw us walking in the inclement sun or rain, always shared their food with us. Undoubtedly, to have good friends, it is necessary to love and provide service. Other aspects such as honesty, loyalty, empathy, respect, having fun and communicating are appendages.

Cuando pienso en un buen amigo, vienen a mi mente bonitas experiencias. Incluso en los momentos de enfermedad. Como algunos sabrán, fui misionero y llevé el mensaje del Evangelio por dos años. Fue un acto altruista donde abandone todas mis cosas personales para servir a otras personas e invitarlos a venir a Cristo. En el camino conocí a personas maravillosas que me ofrecieron su mano amiga, y de forma incondicional. Recuerdo que en la primera área donde estuve, llegamos a un hogar donde no solo compartimos el mensaje, sino que también les servimos. Algunas cosas sencillas, como barrer, fregar los platos, preparar alimentos y otros detalles, estábamos muy atentos a cualquier oportunidad de servicio. Esa familia, cuando nos veía caminando en la inclemencia del sol, o de la lluvia, siempre compartían sus alimentos con nosotros. Sin duda, para tener buenos amigos, necesario es amar y brindar servicio. Otros aspectos como la honestidad, lealtad, la empatía, el respeto, el divertirse y comunicarse son apéndices.
