A little while ago I learned about the importance of taking active breaks. At times we can feel stressed and fatigued by our work, we push ourselves to the maximum and go beyond what our forces allow us. It is important to take short breaks, or make routine changes to improve our health and our physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being. When I'm working on programming or rehearsing the trumpet, I take short breaks, do light physical activities like walking, stretching, or breathing exercises. I also use the time to get up from my chair, move around and change my posture. Among the benefits that I have been able to obtain are better concentration and attention, a significant increase in my productivity and performance, it helps me to prevent injuries, and to feel encouraged and energized. And I feel more relaxed when studying, and completing my work activities. So 5 or 10 minutes of active break can make a difference.

Hace un poco de tiempo aprendí sobre lo importante de hacer pausas activas. En algunos momentos podemos sentirnos estresados y fatigados por nuestro trabajo, nos exigimos al máximo y vamos más allá de lo que nuestras fuerzas nos permiten. Es importante realizar breves descansos, o hacer cambios de rutinas para mejorar nuestra salud y nuestro bienestar físico, mental, espiritual y emocional. Cuando estoy trabajando en programación o ensayando con la trompeta, tomo descansos breves, realizo actividades físicas ligeras, como caminar, estirarme o hacer ejercicios de respiración. También aprovecho el tiempo para levantarme de mi silla, moverme y cambiar de postura. Entre los beneficios que he logrado obtener están una mejor concentración y atención, un aumento significativo de mi productividad y desempeño, me ayuda a prevenir lesiones, a sentirme animado y con energía. Y me siento más relajado al momento de estudiar, y completar mis actividades de trabajo. Así que 5 o 10 minutos de pausa activa pueden hacer la diferencia.
