I Wish You Love - Charles Trenet (Cover) by @yisusth [ENG/SPA]

A jazz standard is a widely known musical composition that serves as a basis for improvisation and is adapted into different interpretations and arrangements. Today I share with you a performance with my trumpet of a jazz standard titled "I Wish You Love" by Charles Trenet, a French ballad with an interesting mix of simplicity and emotional depth. The song is in the key of C Major, a bright and optimistic key, which contrasts with the melancholic lyrics. The melody has short and repetitive phrases that facilitate memorization. This piece of music has a moderate tempo (tempo di valse) that is associated with romanticism and nostalgia. The rhythm is ternary, with a 3/4 waltz that provides elegance and fluidity. Although this rhythm seems more like a bolero to me. This has an impressive emotionality, and stands out for its simplicity. The combination of a catchy melody, a major key and a waltz rhythm that creates a nostalgic yet hopeful atmosphere. Despite the sadness of farewell, the song conveys a universal message: the wish that the loved one finds love and happiness. This time I perform it with a mute, which makes the sound have a different color and reduces the volume.

Un estándar de jazz es una composición musical ampliamente conocida, que sirve de base para la improvisación y que se adaptan en distintas interpretaciones y arreglos. Hoy les comparto una interpretación con mi trompeta de un estándar del jazz titulado "I Wish You Love" de Charles Trenet, una balada francesa con una interesante mezcla de sencillez y profundidad emocional. La canción está en tonalidad de Do Mayor, una tonalidad luminosa y optimista, que contrasta con la letra melancólica. La melodía tiene frases cortas y repetitivas que facilitan la memorización. Esta pieza musical tiene un tempo moderado (tempo di valse) que se asocia con el romanticismo y la nostalgia. El ritmo es ternario, con un vals 3/4 que aporta elegancia y fluidez. Aunque este ritmo me parece más un bolero. Esta tiene una emotividad impresionante, y destaca por su simplicidad. La combinación de una melodía pegadiza, una tonalidad mayor y un ritmo de vals que crea una atmósfera nostálgica pero esperanzadora. Pese a la tristeza de la despedida, la canción transmite un mensaje universal: el deseo de que la persona amada encuentre el amor y la felicidad. En esta oportunidad la interpreto con una sordina, que hace que el sonido tenga un color diferente y reduce el volumen.
