El evento de UFC292, ha sido muy entretenido de principio a fin, hemos tenido finalizaciones espectaculares, victorias dominantes y sorpresas increíbles que han dejado atónitos a los fanáticos. La cartelera nos presentaba 2 combates de campeonato, Zhang Weili vs Amanda Lemos, disputándose el cinturón de las 115 libras femenino y Aljamain Sterling defendiendo su título de las 135 libras contra Sean O'Malley.

En los papeles, el combate final que cerraba el evento, tenía un ganador claro, las apuestas, analistas y muchos fanáticos tenían a Sterling venciendo fácilmente a Sean "Sugar" O'Malley. Este humilde servidor, desde este gran espacio y ecosistema llamado Hive, ha estado apoyando la carrera de Sean O'Malley desde su inicio, aunque no lo veía como favorito, si lo había convocado como ganador en este combate y creía que sería el nuevo campeón de las 135 libras. ¡Ha sucedido! Desde su debut en el Dana White's Contender Series, note un gran talento en Sean O'Malley, además, de contar con un buen perfil de superestrella a futuro, lamentablemente, la compañía lo protegió mucho y no le ofrecían peleas de gran impacto que lo llevaran a estar dentro del top 5. Todo eso cambio, venció a Petr Yan, número 1 del ranking, entro en lo mas alto del top y ahora ha vencido contundentemente al campeón de la categoría. Aljamain Sterling, venía con 3 defensas por el título, la tarea no estaba fácil.

El combate se desarrolló totalmente de pie, lo cual, no convenía en nada al campeón, quien cuenta con una excelente lucha y lo mejor sería buscar el suelo. Sean O'Malley defendió bien 2 intentos de derribo y Aljamain Sterling quiso hacer striking. Como había dicho, solo necesita un buen golpe para terminar la historia y eso fue lo que sucedió. Subestiman a Sean O'Malley, pero tiene una excelente pegada, un striking muy lindo y es un sniper al momento de lanzar golpes. La UFC tiene una nueva mega estrella en ascenso llamada Sean O'Malley.
