    About :

Hello fire rod! You shall come in handy.

This is game #12 in my series for completing SNES games using an emulator and ROMs.

In part 9 of the game Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past I head on over to Skull Woods which is the third Maiden dungeon and involves using both the outside world and going between that and the dungeon to progress through some different parts of the dungeon.

The hand that appears can be frustrating since it drops down to try grab and take you away, always coming back even if you destroy it. So it is easy to avoid and kill if you pay attention and you don't even have to kill it off.
A lot of spike traps are moving about the place and things like those damn jellyfish that will shock and hurt you if you have bad timing or be silly and hit while not paying attention, but luckily not too damaging if you do have that happen.

After getting through all the challenges and enemies in my way in what is one of the best dungeons yet, it was time for this moth boss.
This boss I tried to hit with the hammer a bunch of times which ended up being such a stupid thing to try! All these spike traps moving around the place while the floor moves different directions, it makes for a challenging fight.
Then I used the fire rod which made things so much simpler and turned a hard fight, into an easy fight as long as I moved about, watched out for the spike traps and bosses move and kept hitting it.

With that third Maiden saved it was coming closer to facing the final boss Ganon and the end of this wonderful game.

Streamlabs OBS used for recording and setting the scene with SNES font, my avatar and the game picture for what I am playing.

    Emulator used: RetroArch
    ROMS: They are the games
Saving: Using emulator saving between levels or occasionally in tough parts so I don't always die and repeat so then the game can get completed.
