Mi aventura por los juegos de Smartphone me lleva hasta Lost In Blue, una propuesta que a primera vista nos deleita con unos gráficos interesantes y un Gameplay dinámico. Ahora bien, ¿este videojuego es tan excelente como parece? A decir verdad tuve sentimientos encontrados a la hora de jugarlo, pues a pesar de que muchas de sus características son prometedoras, me parece que este amiguito se ha quedado corto por muchos aspectos, y no es que yo sea exigente, es que a veces los juegos muy simples me aburren.

My adventure through Smartphone games takes me to Lost In Blue, a proposal that at first glance delights us with interesting graphics and dynamic gameplay. Now, is this video game as excellent as it seems? To tell the truth, I had mixed feelings when playing it, because despite the fact that many of its characteristics are promising, it seems to me that this little friend has fallen short in many aspects, and it is not that I am demanding, it is that sometimes the very simple games bore me.

Y no estoy diciendo que Lost In Blue es un juego simple, pero algunas cosas no lograron cautivarme. Empecemos por la historia: un avión estalla mientras nuestro héroe viaja a no sé que lugar, y de pronto nos quedamos atrapados en una isla de mutantes que parecen más bien zombis. Tenemos la opción de elegir a nuestro personaje entre un cúmulo de hombres y mujeres, y a partir de ahí comienza esta alocada aventura.

And I'm not saying that Lost In Blue is a simple game, but some things failed to captivate me. Let's start with the story: a plane explodes while our hero is traveling to some place, and suddenly we are trapped on an island of mutants who look more like zombies. We have the option to choose our character from a host of men and women, and from there this crazy adventure begins.

Entonces de la nada aparece una chica guapa (muy guapa para ser una superviviente) que nos guía por la isla y nos lleva a un refugio. Tenemos la capacidad de construir, recolectar y asentar golpes con hachas, martillos e incluso metralletas. A medida que completamos las misiones podemos mejorar nuestras armas y ganar medallas que nos ayudarán a repotenciar nuestros ataques. Nada mal: la mecánica de juego en eso no falla.

Then out of nowhere a beautiful girl appears (very beautiful for a survivor) who guides us around the island and takes us to a shelter. We have the ability to build, collect, and land hits with axes, hammers, and even submachine guns. As we complete the missions we can improve our weapons and earn medals that will help us repower our attacks. Not bad: the game mechanics in that do not fail.

Sin embargo, el juego falla en un importante aspecto como lo es el sonido, hecho que le quita muchísima emoción. Mientras jugaba no sentí ese escenario con el que Lost in Blue intentó hechizarme. Otro punto en contra son los diálogos y en general su historia, muy cliché y quizás repetitiva para el género de la supervivencia. Creo que los desarrolladores de este videojuego se han quedado cortos en este sentido. Hubiera preferido algo más emocionante que recolectar madera y matar monstruos.

However, the game fails in an important aspect such as sound, a fact that takes away a lot of emotion. While playing I didn't feel that scenario that Lost in Blue tried to cast a spell on me. Another point against it is the dialogues and in general its history, very cliché and perhaps repetitive for the survival genre. I think the developers of this video game have fallen short in this regard. I would have preferred something more exciting than collecting wood and killing monsters.

Gran parte de este Gameplay se basa, principalmente, en seguir las misiones de Jane, una superviviente dentro de la isla que, a falta de más manos, nos obliga a recolectar madera para proteger el refugio de los ataques mutantes. Hay monstruos que son desafiantes y otros un tanto fastidiosos. El juego en sí trata de sobrevivencia, algo al estilo de The Walking Dead con mucho de Lost, pero al estilo constructivo.

A large part of this Gameplay is mainly based on following the missions of Jane, a survivor on the island who, for lack of more hands, forces us to collect wood to protect the refuge from mutant attacks. There are monsters that are challenging and others that are somewhat annoying. The game itself is about survival, something in the style of The Walking Dead with a lot of Lost, but in a constructive style.

A pesar de todos sus contras Lost in Blue logra entretener un poco; básicamente es un videojuego para distraer la mente construyendo y matando mutantes. Si bien parece un juego muy simple, tiene características interesantes en cuanto a sus gráficos y sistema de recolección. Las armas con la que nos defendemos tienden a agotarse, por lo que debemos esperar que se recarguen para volver a atacar a los mutantes que quieren invadir nuestro refugio. Esto le brinda algo de adrenalina al asunto.

Despite all its cons, Lost in Blue manages to entertain a bit; It's basically a video game to distract your mind by building and killing zombie-like mutants. Although it seems like a very simple game, it has interesting features in terms of its graphics and collection system. The weapons with which we defend ourselves tend to run out, so we must wait for them to recharge to re-attack the mutants who want to invade our refuge. This gives some adrenaline to the matter.

Lost In Blue es una apuesta que, a pesar de que deja mucho que desear, contiene sus cualidades que lo hacen destacable dentro de la mayoría de juegos para teléfono. Lost In Blue is a game that, despite leaving much to be desired, has qualities that make it stand out from most phone games. I personally had fun playing it.
