Hola @hivemusicc Community, welcome to week #7 of our weekly contest..I trust we all are doing well and I'm super excited to be first place in last week's contest 😎, I'm grateful for the gift 🙏. So I've really just had this really powerful song stuck in my head for so long "Knocking On Heaven's Door" by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. It's a song from the 70's, released in the year 1977. The song was written for the western film "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.

I wasn't even born when the song was recorded but somehow I found myself listening to it while growing up and I've always wanted to do a cover of it, So here it is 😉. This song is written from the perspective of a dying sheriff who had to make a very tough decision to choose his duty over his friendship. The song may have perhaps arose in his heart at the moment when he had to shoot down his buddy.

"Mama take this badge off of me"
"I can't use it anymore".
by this lines, He means he does'nt wanna be sheriff anymore if it means to kill your friend for the sake of duty.

The song simply deals with the concept of blindfolded thinking and the conflict within oneself when the person's conscience rises to make him realize the true meaning of his deeds. The idea of this song simply is whatever cause seemed like it was worth dying for, may not feel the same way in the actual moment of death. Confío en que todos lo estamos haciendo bien y estoy muy emocionado de quedar en primer lugar en el concurso de la semana pasada 😎, estoy agradecido por el regalo 🙏. Así que realmente he tenido esta canción realmente poderosa atrapada en mi cabeza durante tanto tiempo "Knocking On Heaven's Door" del cantautor estadounidense Bob Dylan. Es una canción de los años 70, lanzada en el año 1977. La canción fue escrita para la película del oeste "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid".

Ni siquiera había nacido cuando se grabó la canción, pero de alguna manera me encontré escuchándola mientras crecía y siempre quise hacer una versión de ella, así que aquí está 😉. Esta canción está escrita desde la perspectiva de un sheriff moribundo que tuvo que tomar una decisión muy difícil de elegir su deber sobre su amistad. La canción quizás surgió en su corazón en el momento en que tuvo que derribar a su amigo.

"Mamá, quítame esta insignia"
"No puedo usarlo más".
en estas líneas, quiere decir que ya no quiere ser sheriff si eso significa matar a tu amigo por el bien del deber.

La canción simplemente trata sobre el concepto de pensar con los ojos vendados y el conflicto dentro de uno mismo cuando la conciencia de la persona se eleva para hacerle comprender el verdadero significado de sus actos. La idea de esta canción simplemente es que cualquier causa por la que valió la pena morir, puede no sentirse de la misma manera en el momento real de la muerte.
