Hi Afri-tunes community and all music lovers world wide, I hope you're all doing great. It's Afri-tunes week #68, another time again to explore and share the beautiful African tunes, an avenue to enjoy the beauty of the lovely music by African musicians, for me it has always been a wonderful experience and I hope it's the same with everyone.
For this week I'll be presenting a song titled "oba ton ja funmi" by Gbenga Akinfenwa. I could remember when this song was produced that year, together with "Aanu" I love both songs, to the extent that I have to present it to my youth choir so they can sing it in church and later we started using it for praise ad worship sessions, and thank God the ministration was beautiful.
"Oba ton ja funmi" are yoruba words which means "the God or king that fights for me." Many time God is fighting for us but we aren't aware, while we're awake and asleep, we just see that things are going on smoothly for us but someone is behind the scene fighting our battles.
Gradually we're ending the first half of the year 2023, we start the second half next month (July), it has been God who has been with us thus far, not by our power or wisdom but by the amazing Grace of the Almighty. Giving him the praise that He deserve is one of the best thing to appreciate Him with.
I hope you'll enjoy my Acapella version of the song, thanks.
