      Hoy quiero traerles una pieza llamada “A un amigo” un vals de Henry Martínez.

      Quería subir un vídeo antes para ustedes, sin embargo, también quería grabar algo con mi hermano y esta canción que hace referencia a un amigo está perfecta para la ocasión. Él es Roher Acacio, lo conocí de pequeño en la escuela de música en la que estudiabamos. Quizá es una historia algo graciosa, ya que, él conoció primero a mi mamá que a mi jajajaja nosotros comenzamos a ensayar juntos en mi casa. En ese momento él tocaba cuatro, mucho tiempo después dejaría ese instrumento para introducirse en el mundo de las maracas.

     Las maracas, un instrumento infravalorado. La realidad es que todo el que haya intentado aprender a tocarlas, seriamente, sabe la complejidad que este instrumento lleva consigo, es muy difícil. Él aprendió un poco en la escuela de música y luego siguió por su cuenta, ha aprendido muchísimo y para mí es uno de los mejores maraqueros, a pesar de su corta edad. En esta oportunidad no les muestro su habilidad con este instrumento pero pronto lo haré, me comprometo a ello.

Roher, mi hermano

     Cuando comenzamos a tocar juntos hicimos una gran amistad, siempre nos reunimos; es de esos lazos que no se rompen fácilmente. En estos momentos vengo una vez a la semana a Valencia y siempre nos vemos a hablar un rato. Yo no suelo usar la palabra “hermano” pero considero que él lo es, por todo el tiempo juntos y todo lo que nos conocemos, por el hecho de contar el uno con el otro, quizá eso es lo que son los hermanos, dos personas que confían el uno en el otro sin importar qué.

        I wanted to upload a video earlier for you, however, I also wanted to record something with my brother and this song that refers to a friend is perfect for the occasion. He is Roher Acacio, I met him when I was a kid in the music school where we studied. Maybe it's a funny story, because he met my mom before he met me hahahaha we started rehearsing together at my house. At that time he played the cuatro, much later he would leave that instrument to enter the world of the maracas.

      Maracas, an underrated instrument. The reality is that anyone who has tried to learn to play them, seriously, knows the complexity that this instrument carries with it, it is very difficult. He learned a little in music school and then continued on his own, he has learned a lot and for me he is one of the best maraqueros, despite his young age. In this opportunity I do not show you his skill with this instrument but soon I will do it, I am committed to it.

      When we started playing together we made a great friendship, we always get together; it is one of those bonds that are not easily broken. At the moment I come once a week to Valencia and we always see each other to talk for a while. I don't usually use the word "brother" but I consider him to be one, for all the time together and all that we know each other, for the fact that we count on each other, maybe that's what brothers are, two people who trust each other no matter what.
