Hello, community of music lovers. We have reached the second phase of the Song Challenge and it's great that each phase lasts two weeks! The thing is, working on a well-known song - your own or someone else's - is not the same as creating a song. Although someone (I don't know who) said that "music is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration" without that 10%... we do nothing.

Sometimes the simplest event is the trigger for a melody or lyric to emerge from us. But other times it is not like that.


Although I know prolific composers - here on the blockchain, the super creative @lecumberre, for example - I don't count myself among them since sometimes three years pass between one of my compositions and the next.

That's why I thought about it a lot before participating... thinking, what if I compose a song for the first phase and the other song comes out around the time of the seventh phase (And there will only be 3 or 4)


Well... I'm... taking a chance... putting in my 90% perspiration... waiting for inspiration. So... if I skip a phase and stop participating... you will know that I did not receive the desired 10%


This song that I bring you today... whose title "Hoy Es Tu Día" (Today Is Tour Day) makes you think - perhaps - that it is a birthday greeting... was born because I sat down to think about what topic to write about... and to reflect: What kind of song do we need to hear in these critical times? Something that fills us with hope. May it lift our spirits.


Thinking that the future will exist but at this moment it does not exist... we ruin this wonderful present with our anxieties about the future or with our nostalgia and regret for the past.


I left the future alone... I focused on not letting the past ruin our present and... luckily... my 10% of inspiration arrived. I hope you like it.


My guitar (the pink one, which I say "Barbie lent me") still lacks a string but I borrowed one so I could play the song as I had it in my head and thus let the "Cuatro" rest .

A veces el suceso más simple es el detonante para que de nosotros brote una melodía o una letra. Pero otras veces no es así.


Aunque conozco compositores prolíficos - acá en la blockchain, el super creativo @lecumberre, por ejemplo - no me cuento entre ellos ya que a veces pasan tres años entre una composición mía y la siguiente.

Por eso lo pensé mucho antes de participar... pensando ¿Y si compongo una canción para la primera fase y la otra canción me sale como para el tiempo de la séptima fase (Y serán sólo 3 ó 4)


Bueno... estoy... arriesgándome... poniendo mi 90% de transpiración... esperando la inspiración. Así que... si me saltó una fase y dejo de participar... sabrán que no me llegó el anhelado 10%


Esta canción que les traigo hoy... cuyo título (Hoy Es Tu Día) hace pensar - quizá - que es una felicitación para cumpleaños... nació porque me senté a pensar sobre qué tema escribir... y a reflexionar ¿Qué tipo de canción necesitamos escuchar en estos tiempos álgidos? Algo que nos llene de esperanza. Que nos levante el ánimo.


Pensando en que el futuro existirá pero en este instante no existe... este presente maravilloso lo arruinando con nuestras ansiedades por el futuro o con nuestras nostalgias i arrepentimiento por el pasado.


Dejé quieto lo del futuro... me centré en esto de ni dejar que el pasado arruine nuestro presente y... por suerte... me llegó mi 10% de inspiració. Espero les agrade.


A mi guitarra (la rosadita, que digo que "me prestó la Barbie") todavía le falta una cuerda pero conseguí una prestada para poder tocar la canción como la tenía en la cabeza y así dejar descansar al cuatro.
